I'm curious about this. I currently swing around 110, probably a bit more in mid summer, since it's a higher compression ball would you state that anyone around 110 might struggle with this ball?

Compression and swing speed have no correlation. This ball is going to be firm and give just about everyone their max ball speed. This ball is low spin, and that's where people are going to struggle. If you don't generate enough spin with your driver it's going to lose distance and accuracy. And if you don't generate enough spin with your irons you will have issues with stopping and distance control.

Spin and speed are often correlated, but they don't have to be.

Yes. Not sure I guy the whole 110-115 170 ball speed thing and 40 yards of distance gained. Realistically, you will see more dramatic improvements if you are consistently 120+ with a higher spin profile... ie a negative attack angle with a driver. I’m still pretty confident most of the folks claiming their new love for this ball will be short lived.

I agree with you there. I typically play super soft greens (Wisconsin life) so I’m looking for something that doesn’t rip back.

Is there any analysis or reviews from anyone with a swing speed that has a 95-100 driver swing speed? My driver swing speed is in this range and the LD went farther than the X by about 10 yards, couldn’t really tell if it was carry or roll out. I didn’t notice any difference with irons or wedges with the ball rolling out on the greens. Same performance for chipping, yes it is a little harder feeling. I know I need to get on track man and see the numbers but on the course side by side the driver is longer. Anyone with any track man data that doesn’t swing at 110-120?

I’m 105-110, but still like ProV1. I doubt a low spin ball would improve things. Hit farther? Yes, but most play ProV1 for the approach and green side performance. Lose a club on the approaches but with more spin is usually a good thing. My 4i carries 205-210 and could hold if I hit more greens from that distance, but I don’t.

Unless you swing fast, less spin might not be what you need? I value approaches more than distance off the tee. That’s a higher spinning ball.

Played the left dash again today. I like it more and more everytime I play it. It was very wet and soggy so the ball was not rolling out at all and I was still hitting it in places I don’t normally do. I’m putting in my order for the buy 3 get 1 free deal today and committing to this ball for the rest of the year.

Finally got a round in with these in warm weather and they will be my ball this year. Traded 4 dz regular ProVs for 4 dz of these with my pro. Now trying to decide if I want to really go all in and do the Loyalty and get 4 more. Good bit longer for me on woods, very high off irons, drop and stop with no worry about spinning off greens and they are just so good around the greens. Just the right amount of check and fiz on the pitches. I am not a super high swing speed and these are noticeably longer balls. In warmer temps they don't feel really hard either. Hope they stay in the lineup with Titleist for good.

Played the LD today, seems to be the same with irons and wedges as the X. Only one nine iron really rolled out when it hit the green but I chalking that up to water on the ball or green. I am going to play the X tomorrow to see if there is any differences but I am pretty sure I am moving full time to the LD. Driver seems to launch higher and go farther, maybe 10 yards. Swing speed with driver about 95

The Left Dash definitely has a different feel compared to the others in the premium lineup. I have been trying to get my driver spin down from 2800 for some time. Switching to the LD and the TM SIM with the Ventus Black 7x has been a home run. I bought 8 dozen and haven't looked back. It is firmer off of the putter, but for those of us with high swing speeds and steep angles of attack these balls are the ticket. Just my $.02.

I finally got the chance to try the left dash in good course conditions - mid-60s, dry and the course has been mowed. It is a hard feeling ball and the distance off the driver (Epic Flash SZ 9 deg. with Ventus Velocore Black 6S) is as long as or a few yards longer for me than the new Bridgestone BX and Titleist AVX. The iron distance is good also, and consistent with those other balls. Where I had a problem with the ball was holding on the greens. The BX and AVX typically hit an stop for me. The left dash released several feet after hitting the green, from mid irons to gap wedge. I think I am going to go with the BX for the time being.

Sounds like the left dash prov1x performs slower to the older prov1x before x became the high spinning ball. I'm sure there were a lot of pros that liked a firmer feel and the ball speeds associated with the dual core and didn't want the extra spin... I would agree. Sounds like it's worth a try.

The performance comparison against the 2021 AVX sounds very similar and there are videos supporting that. The real difference would be feel and maybe 1-2mph ball speed for those with high swing speeds off the driver. https://youtu.be/LIezC3ClNXU.

I'm in the 98-105 range, and I found that I also saw around 10yrs extra from a normal X. Even for us lower SS guys, the spin reduction can be helpful if you struggle with driver spin - which I do. I'm a "flipper", early releaser, etc. BTW, I've actually had more success with super-stiff shafts than most R or S because of my release - I get better launch conditions. I've learned that everything is individual.

I want to reduce spin on every club so it will be a toss up for me this season between the ProV1x left dash, TP5x, and maybe the AVX. Sounds like they will all perform well.
