Quarantine Social Media Follows

With the quarantine it looks like a lot of really good teaching pros are using a lot of different platforms to continue teaching.

One guy locally that is co-owner of the Cali Jr Tour is John Ray Leary. He has been having a bunch of great live IG stories this past week. Upcoming guests he has are Bobby Lasken, Gina Umeck (CSUN women's golf coach), Drew Steckel and Charley Hoffman. You can find him here:

For a super technical look at the golf swing keep an eye out on Dana Dahlquist. His live story this week had a ton of other top coaches on it and there were a bunch of great questions and answers.

If you want to check out a new podcast you can't miss listening to my guy Brady Riggs. He's only three episodes in to this new venture but be assured he will give you a no nonsense look at player development. For those of you with junior girls his first episode is with his D1 golfer daughter.

i think a lot pro’s are doing social media the big issue is a lot us can’t practice much so hard to put anything into use.

I would definitely keep an eye on the guy I mentioned first in this post, John Ray Leary / California Junior Golf. Last night he had a live IG feed going with Max Homa, Charley Hoffman and John Mallinger jumping in and there were only 9 people on it at the time. They were literally just shooting the s#!t about growing up together playing junior / college golf.

A week! You can't take walks or go cycling (if you have a bicycle)? I'd go nuts.

You're allowed to walk around your neighborhood, go to the grocery store or the pharmacy. I just haven't had to leave for anything. Every state will be under the Stay at Home Quarantine sooner or later.

We have been under a SIP order since last Tuesday at noon, but we can still walk around the neighborhood and go to state parks. I see other people, but they are no where near me. I see a lot more people walking, jogging, and bicycling. Everyone maintains plenty of distance.

Florida is under it, but it is beyond stupid and nothing more than political. Only effects about 15% of people. Here is what can stay open:

Liquor Stores, Golf Courses, Auto Shops, Auto Retail, Fish and Tackle, Guns Shops, All Restaurants including Coffee Shops, Gas Stations, Grocery Stores, Medical Supplies, Pharmacies, Convenience Stores, Boat Ramps, Parks, Financial Institutions including accountants and banks, Attorneys offices. I am sure I have left some things off.
