Sim fairway woods.

Never hit a PXG club, so don’t know how they stack up. I hv hit both SIM ti/ SIM Max. They were both very good. Tried all the Mavrik 3W offerings an SIM fit my swing better. Switched from TS3 fairway. Into the SIM ti w my old shaft from the Titleist. 82X Diamana Whiteboard. Don’t hv any numbers for you not really a launch monitor guy. But was getting 255-269 carry an 275-288 overall with the stock Diamana 75S shaft when I was fitted. 104-108 ss. Don’t know what kinda monitor

The SIM fairways are extremely hot off the face. Was hitting off the trackman at my work, and was reaching smash factors of 1.51 and 1.52. The shape of them do remind me of the M6, a little bigger, and a pretty deep face. But the V Steel tech they put back in I believe is why the smash was so high. Even on off center hits, the ball speed was pretty much all there still.

the SIM is the hottest 3w I have ever hit. Had the m6 all last year and absolutely loved it. I said all last year it was the best fairway ive ever played....the SIM is even better. I love the profile at address and there are times the SIM 3w gets within 1mph of my driver ball speed.

I honestly went back to PGA store to use a playability and grab the 5w instead because the face is so hot. I had about 5 launch monitor sessions and 1 round on the course and was killing it but gaps were way off now. Decided id wait and get more course time with in, but then Corona

Nope, thats all I hit. I traded my m5 driver and m6 3w during the extra 50% trade in along with 2 putters. Also had a Tensei Pro Orange fairway shaft sitting at home with a TM tip so I only looked at the SIM. For me, I cant imagine anything coming even close to beating this in performance

Ball speed is crazy but even dispersion, feel, and sound are incredible

Naturally I know there will be people who dont like it, but it would still be hard to believe someone not liking EVERYTHING about this club.... Funny you mention rogue sz. Thats what I had 2 years ago and while ball speed was impressive, I couldn't control it

I'm not usually a terrible fairway wood player, but I had a little bit more difficult time getting the Sim max 3 wood off the deck consistently.

Off the tee however it was extremely hot. I was hitting some around 285 without really getting after it. Way too long for my needs. Traded it in for a mavrik sz 3 wood. Haven't been able to hit the mavrik since we're shelter in place in socal.

I’m thinking of picking one up and cutting it down to play 42 or 42.25. I’m also thinking of lifting it up to play more like a 4 wood. If it’s that hot, heck, I may just get a 5 wood.

I bought the 5 wd based on reports the Sim is silly long and low spin and after my first round today, it absolutely delivered. The 5 wood isn't too big and I found it to flight excellently off the tee and off the fairway. It set me up today for birdies on all the par 5s. I have mine shafted with an 80X diamana blue and it is fantastic.

Id recommend going with the 5 wood. I had the same thought initially and lofted the 3w up to 17*. Face was very closed and time and time again id pull it left and watch it draw farther left (even with 3 strips of lead tape on the toe). Put it back to 15* and it was dead straight again. Like I mentioned above there are times this gets within 1 mph of my driver. My avg drives are usually between 295 - 300. ive gotten the SIM 3w out to 290! its crazy, usually I play my 3w to be avg 265-270

When I went to return the 3w I literally told the guy it goes too far and thats why I wanna try the 5w. Lofted the 5w down to 17* and those numbers were more in line with what I saw from the m6 3w last year. I play my 3w at 42.75 (stock TM is 43.25). Used the same 3w shaft at 42.75 for the 5w so it worked perfectly. I only had the 3w for 1 week so I decided to wait and get more time with it. This was early February when they first released so I had virtually no outdoor time here in Chicago. I wanted to get close to the 90 day playability from PGA Store with my 3w to see if its a viable option for me....but corona kinda messed this up

17* Super Hybrid was a really fun club to hit! I kinda regret selling mine (especially since they're back ordered for so long now) to buy the 790 UDI. I played 4 rounds without a FW. Had the 17* super hybrid as my longest club and a 20* epic flash hybrid. The 17* can definitely be a 3w replacement. Flat launch, crazy speeds for a hybrid, and maybe about 10 yards shorter

Regarding SIM Max fairway and SIM fairway, I'm looking for a secondary tee club - which one is hotter? If possible, does anyone know which one launches lower of the two? Taylormade's marketing for these fairways have both been "you can easily launch both" but that's not what I'm looking for to be honest.

SIM launches lower than the Max... I had m6 all of last year and had m5 3w for 2 months to compare to m6. m5 was the lowest overall launch for me between SIM, Max, and m6. Ive found both SIM models easier to hit and much hotter off the face. I use my SIM 3w as a secondary tee option

And if you strictly want is as a tee club, go with the Rocket SIM at 14*

If I was looking for a secondary tee club, I'd seriously consider the mavrik sz 3+. Very long, almost driver long. I was able to get the mavrik sz off the ground better than the sim line also, so it could server dual purpose. I'm not sure why, maybe the leading edge? Just my personal experience of course.
