Picked up a new TM M5 3 wood prior to lock down for the crazy prize of about $100. Previously used a Titleist 917 F2. Got a few rounds in w/the M5 and am concerned it may be too long for what I need out of a 3 wood. It's very hot off the tee and relatively easy off the deck. I do like the movable weight option, especially for my fade and its really longer than I expected. For the price I paid, it was a no brainer even though I had limited demo time last year trying out it and among other various 3 woods. Now, if the the SIM is even hotter and longer, it's really not an option for me. I have become very conditioned to hitting my 3 wood a certain distance both off the tee and turf.That's what I have always liked about my 917 F2. Maybe not the longest, but its the most consistent. I will keep working with the M5, but right now it seems more like a tee option. Considering the price difference between the Sim and what I paid for a new M5, doubt the difference in performance gains is worth the extra cash. Next thinking about a Titleist TS 2 to see how it compares to my 917F2.

I have a TI 5-wood w/ Tour AD DI 7X and just put it into play last weekend. I recently got fitted for that shaft in my woods and it was pretty good for not being able to swing it at the range due to Covid-19.

Also have a SIM TI Max 3 Rocket that I am putting the same shaft into. Need to get the work down and measured to my preferred 3 wood length which is around 42.75". Will keep y'all updated on how it goes.

Just bought the sim ti 3 wood and it looks and feels great. Only concern (coming from a titleist guy) is that it seems like it has a draw bias. Anyone else see this too?

I stayed with my '16 M1 17° as i had trouble hitting the sim too left at times. Absolutely loved it as it was very long, but just was unable to to get rid of the hooks with it.

That’s funny because I’m super susceptible to the lefts and I haven’t had that problem with my sim. It’s extremely solid feeling and i dig the sound.

I’m still testing shafts. It’s funny how different heads seem to like different shafts. I loved a RIP beta in my 410lst 3 wood and hated it in the sim. Have an old school blueboard and an old accra to try next. Like the smoke yellow but the counterbalance was very noticeable. Didn’t love that.

I have a tour ad iz in mine and it is a bomber. I too do not have problem with it being left.
