Mevo - Lockdown excuse :)

I'm really on a hiding to nothing asking this here.

With a possible lockdown in the UK I'm thinking about getting a Mevo for the garden into a net.

Question is into a net is it going to be good enough? Will it pick wedges up decent enough into a net?

We have an indoor hitting area in the club I am a member at. Didn't seem to have any issues picking up my wedges shots. Didn't really test it with chipping and pitching though.

It’ll pick up pitches into a net.

I've used it once indoors and it seems like it has actually a way harder time on the higher ballspeed clubs, almost like it doesn't quite get the time to pick it up properly before it hits the net. They say with those metallic stickers that it gets a lot better though. I've been tempted to get one myself.

Probably OBE for you by now but loving my Mevo during my daily backyard range sessions during the lockdown. It will pick up pitches into a net, as long as it's in the proper setting for pitches.

I'm trying my SC300 in a setup like this, and I'm absolutely convinced I'm hitting full speed on mid irons but I'm getting some horrendous readings.

How many feet is the net away there.

Mevo recommends 8 feet from ball to the net.

The Mevo unit I’m trying to return for a 15% restocking fee and return shipping charges gave me junk data hitting into a net. Contacted Top Shelf Golf and Flightscope and they had me trying all kinds of different setup parameters. 6’ from the ball, 7’ from the ball, 8’ from the net, 12’ from the net???Wedges would fly right over the net at 12’. Crazy launch numbers, crazy carry numbers, 1/2 shots the same as full shots, ect.. Maybe just got a dud or maybe it is too finicky for my outdoor net application. Expensive lesson considering the shipping and restocking fees for a useless unit. YMMV.
