Just got a fitting for a hybrid and Tour Edge Exotics were the best fit so I pulled the trigger. Bit of a hard horse pill to swallow but figured if fitted to me, I should game them.

It was close for me. The new SIM hybrid is a screamer, but the Mavrik was right there and just played straighter for me.

I'm currently playing a 19* 818 H1 set to 18* and a 816 H1 set open at 22*. I've tinkered with driving irons - Callaway UT and a p790 UDI - but they only really come into play on seriously windy days. Even then, I often just club up and swing smooth with the hybrids. Being able to set these flat and open really eliminated the left miss for me. Everything else I tried was nice from a ballspeed perspective but they just sat toe up and I was fighting the left side the whole time.

 

Update: discovered the Callaway Apex. Game over for Titleist.

I’ve got a titleist 818 H2 17* turned down and opened and it’s a rocket launcher. Launches high and very piercing trajectory when needed. Can hit it high, low, and off the tee. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon..... oh wait, the sim max? Sure, let’s throw it in the bag ?‍♂️ (anyone know how to not buy new clubs? Send help)

TM Sim Max 19* is really good. Waiting for shops to open back up as I want to put a Tensei Pro White 90TX in it and make it even better ?

I finally got mine and they're so dang good. I went into the fitting wanting to fill out the top end of my bag and have a specific purpose of launching higher. Does exactly that and consistant. I knew nothing of these hybrids until my fitting and I'm a believer now.
