Back foot coming up at impact

Hey guys.. have a slo-mo swing video I'd like to get some feedback on. I've always struggled coming over the top so I've tried getting my clubpath flatter.. my biggest issue when I look at my swing is how "crunched" up i look at impact.. my back heel is completely off the ground halfway through my downswing. I'd like to know some drills to extend through impact while keeping the back heel down longer..

You'll be in a constant state of recovery from the get go by trying to make your swing conform to the static swing plane you established at address. In the context of Mike Austin's swing your right ankle, knee, hip and glute look pretty good! Your plane and handset are throwing you off which bring in compensations. Correct those and the rest of the pieces fall into place IMHO.

Issues start with late wrist set leading to arms overswing and collapsing in the backswing.

Still no wrist set.

which leads to arm overswing and collapse (right elbow bent too much) - all to set the wrist.

From there you use the pviot to pull the arms down while keeping the chip pinned to the shoulder.

Need to improve arm structure and improve synching of pivot and arms. and get much earlier wrist set. Smart ball. Small range bucket in chest. Then in transition you can work on using Justin rose preshot drill to get shoulder off your chin and arms working down and in synch with pivot.

Personally, get lessons from a good instructor. Monte is offering live online lessons

Thanks for the response.. do you mind elaborating on the "static swing plane I've established at address"? Is this referring to a setup issue that you see? Interested in any type of instruction that could help my setup be more solid! Thanks!

Great feedback and very much appreciated ! I noticed that my wrists weren't setting correctly last week and picked up a Swingyde to do some training with. Haven't had a chance to really practice with it, but it should really help me get that feeling of setting my wrists much earlier. Sean Foley and Justin Rose are definitely some of my favorite guys to mimic and take advise from (funny enough I actually got to meet Foley a few years ago when I was following Rose around in a practice round at Quail Hollow).. I'll do some reading and watch the instructional videos you posted.. thanks again!

Hips are swaying in backswing and arm swing is too long. That is leading to all the issues.

Swinging on the fixed static swing plane established at address is one of golf's sacred cows. This training device is set up on the fixed plane. Don't walk away from this type of swing trainer or training, run away from it.
