My home course (i also work part-time there) in Colorado never closed. We were able to stay open with the permission of our county Board of Health after spending time with them going over how we were going to deal with all of the issues. My bigger limiter has been hip replacement surgery in late January, to go with walking only, and a closed range. I have walked 18 holes but feel better playing only 9 right now. I had set a goal of playing by April 1 and managed to beat it by a week. My swing is gradually getting there. My distance is about 90-95%, the pain is gone, and I can finally get to my left side again. I have watched my index climb from the 0-2 range all the way to about 6. I’m in a good place right now and cant wait to really start playing well again.

Courses opened up last week, may or may not have played friday through sunday.

Course is closed (NE Business) here in Manitoba. Hopefully the province allows us to open by mid-May. No word on raised cups but as long as I get to swing the sticks (or is it sticking?) I will be happy

WOOOO just found out the courses open on May 4th. CANT WAIT!!!

New Jersey courses can open May 2nd, ours will be walking only for awhile, back to work!

I'll put in a big thumbs up for OF as first of all...... THEY ALLOW WOMEN!

 

However, they also have overnight accommodations, beautiful pool, and 2 courses. Butler is only golf and only for men, although I give it a ton of credit as a very nice course.

Sadly email last night from Chicago Parks District seemed to indicate their golf courses will not open May 1st but will remain closed until Illinois Stay-in-place order expires May 30th. If true what a bummer, but willing to do whatever is necessary to get some level of control over Covid-19. If nothing else it gives me more time to vacillate over what clubs I want to play and more time to stroll through eBay looking for the miracle cure to my golfing ills.

We opened back up a couple weeks ago. I've played a few times and most parts of my game are good, but my sand game is atrocious. This is usually the case at the beginning of most seasons for me as I need a little range time in a bunker to work on, and get a feel for it. And in a severe case of the first world-est of first world problems, the range is closed.

Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled just to be playing golf. I just wish every time I landed in a bunker I could trust myself to get it out without airmailing it over the green.

Our two courses opened today (with restrictions) finally! Weather was great, courses are in great condition. So good to get out with friends again & do something besides just walk around the block with the dog numerous times a day. The dog is grateful!!!!

First round in Alberta today as the courses opened this morning with restrictions of course but I can’t wait to get out there!!!

For me, it is a great relief that our courses are open but it takes some getting used to the new normal. Like on a par 3 I’d always look for a broken peg, but now I have to remember to use one of my own. Same with finding a tee on the tee box. Normally I’d pick it up, but now I just leave em. But the biggest change has been cleaning my ball on the green. I used to spit on my towel and clean it off, but the 1st time I did that this year one of the guys I played with gave me the riot act for spitting.
