Clubs lost in Mail? Need advice

I had an out for delivery package with UPS that ended up being "lost". Never, ever had that happen before. Funny how it happened with an SC AOP putter with a rare headcover. And made it all the way from Florida to California before going missing. Had to refund buyer but I'm sure he's happily gaming or displaying said putter today.

Good luck OP!

I had similar issue with an item I sold on ebay (only a $50 LP record). After a full month of no tracking updates, the buyer requested a refund which I gladly gave him. Three days later the tracking showed a scan in Chicago (60 miles from me) and the item was delivered 3 days later. Luckily the buyer was cool and offered to pay full price for the item once it was received, I ended up giving him a bit of a discount for the hassle and delay. I am pretty sure I would have had no recourse thru ebay as I had already closed the case.

As others have said, perhaps FedEx is a better choice these days.

Three packages which had been in transit for 3 weeks from NY to East Coast/Mid West showed the tracking record on this Monday.

They were all scanned at destination post office and they were delivered after 3 week silence.

Fortunately, all the buyers understood the challenges and they appreciated my follow up.

I will ship the packages with UPS or Fedex to avoid this kind of hassle.

Well hopefully this is good news. For the first time in 12 days the tracking information updated. Its now saying the clubs are in a distribution center in NJ. Which means  it took the clubs 18 days to travel from NY to NJ.

At the very least, I'm glad they are no longer missing and hopefully are now on there way to the buyer.

Fingers crossed..

I recently had a package in transit for over a month and finally made itself to the buyer after I of course refunded the buyer. I used USPS, eBay transaction and yes, I was made whole at the end of the day. Sometimes these things work out and sometimes they don't.

Fack. I always list BIN Free Shipping and I sold a set of irons on ebay over the weekend that I listed a couple months ago and I'm worried I'll get hit with this adjusted price too. I usually have iron/driver size boxes on hand and do everything from home then just drop off. I called my local FedEx Office and the guy said they had a 48x4x4 box for $7.50 and I used that size to pay shipping on ebay (the usual ~$20, cool). Never had a issue with the price quoted being adjusted later.

I get there and the guy gives me a 50x9x9 box for $7.50, I said that's not the size you quoted me over the phone. Oh that's alright just give me your label and we'll take care of it. Now I check their online calculator it says this 50x9x9 box will cost $85 shipping. I guess I'll see the final cost once it gets processed or delivered.

Serenity now!

For those having delays, are they with smaller packages or bigger ones? I've been having issues getting full clubs to move, yet I checked the tracking on some smaller items I sold like headcovers, and they're moving through the system with relative ease. Just speculating that they're delaying the bigger packages on already full shipments.

I'm in VA and have seen no delays with clubs via Priority Mail nor small items by First Class. Similarly I've seen no delays with FedEx or UPS. I've shipped to and/or from CA, GA, OH, ME, FL, WA, AL.... (I've bought and sold way too much the last 2 months)

Well, hey a round of applause for this guy. I kid, I kid. I wish I had the same luck as you. In the Chicago burbs it seems that larger packages are delayed getting into and through the Elk Grove Village sorting facility. Currently sitting on a few USPS Priority packages, full size for clubs, that haven't moved in a week to 10 days while a smaller package shipped a week later has already shown up to the next step in the system ahead of said larger packages. Buyers were informed both before and post sale and originally were patient, now getting antsy.
