Seems to be a misconception about what AVX is on here, it is basically a ProV1, identical in most aspects to what Justin Thomas plays as a ProV1 prototype, this is what inspired the AVX to be created and sold in the first place, it’s as common on tour as the ProV1x, just available to consumers under a different name.

Used AVX again this weekend on some slow soft nice looking undulated greens. Greens were about 9.5ish stemp. Typically, AVX would hit and stop within a few feet, which was nice but not predictable like ProV1. Where the difference between ProV1 and AVX shows is AVX was fine on slower greens but on firm, fast green, it likes to jump and run out. It cuts through the breeze nicely like ProV1. Distance between the balls is so similar it's hard to tell if one is longer, felt nice at impact though. First hole hit it down the middle left about 255yds, not bad for an ole guy.

However, no pins on Saturday contributed to my not so good rd. Green undulations made the cup near invisible for short pitches and chipping. Standing in the fairway looking to hit into the green was challenging too, so all I did was hit to the middle. AVX performed nicely though.

AVX is a great ball, but the Duo Professional is identical, and easier on the pocket

Wilson? I switched late last year to AVX because I have steep swing and any lower spin helps. I love the avx in everyway but the wilson is close for cheaper?
