I played Quintero last week and for a green fee in excess of $200, the greens were fine. There were more ball marks than I would have expected. The starter bragged about how fast the greens were, but they really weren't different than than other courses I played in PHX /Tucson last week, some of which (e.g. Southern Dunes, Sewailo and Legacy) were much less expensive.Here's a link to a photo tour of Quintero from last week.

that's a starter sickness...always telling players the greens are so fast. LOL.

I'm surprised to hear about the greens...They were insanely fast when I played...probably the fastest greens I've played in 6 years. Granted that was over a year ago.

Played it once in the 4 years I lived there. Overrated to me. Much better tracks in the area that are far more cost effective...

It is a good course but a bit over rated to me as well. It's a very pretty setting, some good holes, but too high priced particularly for being so far away. Their tee sheet was full notwithstanding the high green fee. I'm glad I played it. but their are so many others in metro PHX that I'll return to before playing here again, unless I can get a lower rate.

which are the others that you would return to before Quintero?

They still have very high prices ($130 for mid-May). Hope that starts dropping soon.

Just paid $42 for quintero - you are looking in the wrong place.

The list to go back before Quintero - Southern Dunes, verde river, Wick ranch, troon Pinnacle, Verrado; even some others are border

Yea I can't stand the place an I played it as recently as late April. Had 2 tee times booked for 8 guys but only 7 showed up one guy wasn't feeling well. My buddy paid for us and when he told me how much I was like that's not right. I went in to talk to figure it out and they intially said that's the price and I showed them when I booked. Finally the manager said they charged us for the 8th and averaged it in with the other 7. I've never had a course do that before let alone in a CV19 environment. Starter is incredibly annoying with his 5 min speech of telling you how fast the greens are and play the break this way on theses holes and other stuff you would remember. Throw in another 2 min about snakes and other useless info. Greens were rock hard and would not hold even wedges very well. Tees and practice facility is a LOOONG cart ride too. No thanks I'll never play the place again as it is just another desert course with a couple elevated par 3 shots.
