Played Tucson National, the Sonoran course, this afternoon. Fantastic track. Very easy and fun course. It was more than I normally like to pay ($75) but it was worth it. The greens were very receptive and lighting quick. Highly recommend.

Silverbell today. Was in decent shape, enjoyable other than the dang winds. Taking a lot of precautions out there because of the virus. Finished in under 3 hours because they send everyone out in their own carts.

Played Tucson National Sonoran yesterday. Alone. In the wind.

Found out quickly why the members would rather play Catalina. It was pretty busy on that side.

Sonoran is tricky and visually deceptive, and the greens were fast and tricky.

I shot 86 From the back with 4 lost balls and in 6 bunkers, four 3 putts on the front. Swing was off.

Played in 3hrs though. Would have liked to take more time..just to appreciate the course

I might play it again, but would like to have some insight into where not to hit it......and the greens

Forty Niner yesterday afternoon.

I know locals rarely play it as it has a rep of being the lesser course here and is out away from town.

Course is in great shape! Best I've seen it in the 3 years I've lived here. They've done some serious work on it!

Fairways were well manicured and the bunkers had sand in them, rare for a Tucson course!

The smallish greens were fairy quick and smooth.

Lot's of fun for under 30 bucks and got around in 3:45.

I'll be playing there more often, for sure

AZ National yesterday. $45 at noon

As I've posted fairly recently, the course is in great shape, with the exception of a few bunkers that still need rehab, but with the current "no touchy" rules we played preferred lies anyway.

Greens were medium quick and true.

Played with a couple of guys from Ft. Worth. Good company.

Good pace of play, too!

I putted like crap for an 82, but otherwise a beautiful day.

Randolph's greens are phenomenal right now. Course overall was in solid shape.

Went for a quick trip Wed/Thurs from New Mexico.

Played Oro Valley on Wednesday. Tees and fairways in good shape. I did not like the greens at all. Looked like they had been punched a while back but poorly sanded. Grass is a broader leaf and they were terribly bumpy. Tight course and forgettable.

Played both courses at Omni Tucson Thursday. Teed off at 8 and finished the second round just before 2:30. Couldn't believe how fast we were able to play. Courses were in great shape and really liked the quick pace of the greens. Still not sure were everything breaks towards, especially on the Sonoran course. The information we got from the starter in the morning was that correct.

That is extremely surprising that OV country club was in poor shape greens wise. Their greens are usually top notch. Shame.

I had the same problem trying to figure out the Sonoran course's greens.

I hadn't a clue.

Headed back to Tucson next week and have an opportunity to play Skyline Country Club. From the photos people have posted to Instagram it doesn't look like it is really that good of shape. Any reviews or suggestions gladly accepted. Thanks in advance!

Well Skyline was a disappointment to say the least. Would have rather played an aerated course that was in better condition and better layout.

I played Dove Mountain Tortolita/Wild Burro today. Greens were awesome, not the fastest but they were highly receptive and pure. Course a little dried out, as you'd expect for this time of the year.

I went back and played Dove Mountain again yesterday. The setup was Saguaro/Wild Burro. The greens got QUICK in the past week all the while still being receptive. Highly, highly, highly recommend it right now.

Good to know. Most greens around town are kinda crappy right now.

Might venture up there if the price is right...

I paid $40. Booked a time on TeeOff with no booking fees. If you book it through the actual course it's still $69.

Played Saguaro/Wild Burro 18 today. Greens were slowish but ran well. Wild Burro has more dead spots than Saguaro. I had not been there in some time and did not know they close one 9 down...kind of disappointed because we had the Underpar all you can play and wanted to get in Tortolita. Oh well.

Could not ask for a more perfect morning - 830 tee off to cloud cover kept it perfect. It was only 92 when we finished at noon.

Played Enke yesterday. Course was actually in pretty good shape. Greens were better than the Randolph Complex. And the new cart path on the back 9 is nice, not gonna lie.

Shot a 75 wirh 4 birdies.

Ventana Canyon course (least favorite of the 2 on property) yesterday.

Course is in pretty good shape, greens very good as usual. Some GUR areas where they're doing maintenance on some turf in the fairways.

The fees a re a little steeper than normal for summer as the membership wanted to cap outside play, yet maintain revenue during the Covid crap. Usual summer rates of 35-40$ are now like $75 or so.

However conditions are the best of any course I've played around here recently.
