Reshafted my G400's in April with the new G410's #4 & #3 both set at 0* flat, my home course has been open for 2 weeks been out 5 times, hitting both really well & actually gained some distance, anyone considering Ping Hybrids, I strongly recommend you give the G410's a try.

Cheers

I think anyone from scratch to 20 can play this club. I really do wish they'd get rid of the turbulators not he fairways and hybrids though - doesn't make much sense. But the feel and sound are great. Very unique compared to most other things in the market today - which I like. I've only had mine in the bag for about 8 rounds but so far I haven't had the same left miss I typically had with my m3 hybrid. and that's all I want from a Hybrid

I test hit this a few months ago, I was really interested in the Ping cause heard great things about its forgiveness.

I found it to sit closed though, which I didn't like

I test hit the SIM at the same time - it sits much more open, and I liked the sole of it a lot better. It was surprisingly forgiving for its smaller size

This hybrid is a doozy. It is def the best hybrid I've played. Helps fight a left miss, hot feel and goes a mile. It's the safest club in my bag.

Had a cobra hybrid demoed the pings with all the stock shafts. Bought a 4H with evenflo shaft. I liked the results well enough to add the 5H with the same shaft.

This forced a fairway wood out of the bag, I was switching back and forth between the 917 4 & 7 woods. Droped both 917's and added a G410 5 wood tensei orange.

Best hybrid I’ve ever had. Especially in the flat setting. I can move it both ways, and most importantly flight it down in the wind. Only thing stopping it from being the perfect club is the turbs. They literally serve no purpose on hybrids or fwy woods for 99.99% of players.

I agree 100%, I was finally able to hit my Covid purchase ( 3 and 4 hybrids) my 3H flight was higher and longer than my 5 wood with more accuracy,

My 4 was HIGH and long, lot's of confidence with it.

Thinking of grabbing a 2 and ditching my 3 wood, since I can't hit it off the deck and can hit my new 3 hybrid almost as long off the tee.

Here's a story for you. I spent the winter of 2018-19 proving to myself that I could no longer hit a 3W off the ground reliably; I had pretty much stopped trying in tournament play, but wondered if lack of practicing the shot was part of the problem. It wasn't; I just don't have the swing speed anymore at age 67 to elevate a low lofted, long shafted club off the ground. So I did a fitting for the express purpose of finding a club to use off the ground that I could hit 200+ with some consistency; I told the fitter I didn't care who made it, or what it said on the bottom.

The result was a G410 2 hybrid with the Tensei blue shaft, which arrived on a Saturday. I hit it on the range a little bit before my first round at Sea Pines, and on the very first par 5, it hit it on a string THROUGH the green! I've never looked back, and now I don't carry any fairways at all; there's no reason to.

That's interesting because I thought all the recent PING hybrids sat down closed except the Anser and the new G410. I have both and actually still prefer the looks of the Anser, wish they would go back to no turbulators and full painted lines across the face. Just has a cleaner look. However the G410 is both more forgiving and I can easily get 10 more yards out of it.

Ok, I blame you guys too.

I was killing time this morning early before my round and read this thread. Mixup at the course and all three of our tee-times did not go in. Frustrating. So I did some shopping therapy and traded in my G 4 and 5 hybrids at my local store for the G410 4 and 5. I already aquired the G410 driver, 5W and 7w this year and am happy with them, despite not many rounds with the courses just reopened,

The 2H is definitely a flatter trajectory than a 5W, but roughly comparable to a 3W I'd guess. When I did that fitting last year, I got a 5W because I still wanted a higher flight layup club for tee shots in senior tournaments from shorter yardages. But I wasn't hitting the 5W often enough or well enough to feel very good about it; just kept kind of hanging it out to the right.

Finally, the teaching pro that I work with just asked my why I was trying to "master" two clubs instead of one for the same basic yardage, and he liked the flatter trajectory of the 2H anyway. So out went the 5W, and into the bag went a 3H as well. So it would appear that I'm done forever with fairway woods; used to be a strength of mine, but not anymore.

I wasn’t sure about it at first but it has really grown on me. I get a really great mid flight with it.

It gives a more mid flight too than the alta (as I have one of these as well). Alta isn't terrible though if you want more height.

I am liking this club. This is my first Ping non-putter product in a long time. 22* with Evenflow black. I have not touched the settings because it's working. Coming from a 20/23 setup in original Apex hybrids, then for the past year I played the TEE CBX 119 22*. Was looking for slightly more forgiveness, and I found it with the 410.

Distance is good, but not ridiculous, fits my gap well and the adjustability gave me some comfort that wouldn't be an issue. I can fade it, but I might try the flat setting to see if that improves my ability to move it right. Slight toe strikes tend to hook less than expected, just start left and don't get ugly (even catch the green)!

Head is pretty big, but sits square. Kind of weird looking crown, but shape is fine. Head has a heavyweight feel to me. Nice metallic sound/feel of the face. Forgiveness is high imo.

Just got back from hitting my new G410 22*. I have the Accra TZ5 95 M4 shaft in it which is heavier and stiffer than most of the stock offerings. I put it in the flat setting and it is automatic. Feels like a 200 yard pitching wedge. Just consistent hight straight shots. No fear of the big hook! Love it. Instantly in the bag. The cherry on top is the sound and feel is awesome, IMO. I was messing around with it in my house beforehand and hitting some balls with a putting/chipping motion, and was thinking the hollow metallic tink it was making was going to be bad. Full shots, however, feel way more solid and just have a really good crisp metallic feel. I am not particularly high speed, high launch, or high spin so this is really going to help me at the top end of the bag.

I know this is an older thread, but just picked up a 5 hybrid and had a chance to hit it today. Got it from 2nd swing in Columbia Md. First shot out of rough and did not expect much. Launched it long and high, shocked. Fronted the green, chipped up, and took par. Awesome. Hit it into the wind and not a smart move, should have hit something lower lofted, but the ball took off and flew, no problem. This is a long hitting hybrid and sounds great. When I hit it off the mats, I was not impressed at all, but at the course it is totally different.

Have been seriously thinking about switching from my current set of mixed model Titleist hybrids (21, 24 and 27*) to the Ping g410s. As a slow swinging old man thinking to replace my 6iron with a 30* hybrid and the Pings sound like a good solution. Thinking the 22, 26 and 30* Pings would do ok.

Could not find a whole lot out there with a 30* option.

I don't have the 30* but I dropped my 5 iron for the 5H at 26* and it's fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong with this hybrid model wherever your irons stop being as reliable.

I have the 2-5 G410 hybrids and went to the Tensei Blue in them. I could not be happier, but I really need to remove all fairway woods from my bag!! I can hit the 2 which is 17* just as far as my 3 wood! Also, I don't carry any iron over a 6. The change has put me in the fairway and "way down there"!

How do these hold up? I’ve seen some on ebay that look like they’re 10 years old by how face looks. My 6 year old hybrid that I hit a ton looks way better. Curious for those that have had awhile. Thanks. Looking at getting 17 and 19 and ditching fairways.

I’ve got a 19 degree. Playing a 6.5 even flow white in it currently. Love the hybrid, I’m so so on the shaft. I’ve got a VA nemesys being built for it by will people’s right now to rectify that. So that’s exciting.

the ability to set the lie flat is awesome. Really helps me with my hook miss. I dunno if it’s a visual thing or what, but I’ve got no desire to swap hybrids.

They definitely can get a little worn looking but its not offensive to me.

I've got a 19 w/ an Accra TZ6 in it, my go to club for a lot of situations. Love the flat setting, hate the turbolators, the 425 looks so much better imo.
