Anyone watching LPGA reruns?

I go back and forth om it multiple times each season lol. I guess where I fall most of the time is, since becoming a tour member and her success Brooke's game definitely plays so why mess with it. The distance changes especially with her irons would IMO cause problems with distance control and most likely take her out of contention for a season till she's use to the changes and I don't think it would be worth it. That said it does give her options down the road to add an advantage to her game if she experiences a fall relative to the other top players in the game or loses some distance later in her career and needs to add a few yards to keep up to the new young guns.

Watching round three of the 2019 Mediheal. Merced is a great course. I was somewhat surprised that Ryann had been on tour so long. I remember her from Big Break Sandals (2010), which was recently broadcast again on The Golf Channel. I guess you'd say she's an underachiever, but she did manage to get selected as a Captain's pick for the 2011 Solheim Cup team.

Doesn’t Brooke grip down in a long driver because she learnt to play as a kid gripping down on a driver that was too long and so likes the feel of it? Think I read that somewhere.

Watching the final round of the 2018 Canadian Open. Still can't gets over the size of the crowds, especially given the mediocre weather. The fans were really there to support Brooke. Pretty special day.

My goodness. Has it really been 8 years since Lydia burst on the scene by winning the CPO as an amateur? I feel old.

Hmmm. I think I finally figured out why Brooke has Brittany tend the flag on her chips. Normally a caddie is not allowed to stand in direct line behind the flag and watch the ball when it's stroked. By tending the flag Brittany can watch the ball all the way to the hole. Probably helps with the read on the following putt.

Actually that's a great point about tending the flag I never thought of it from that point of view.

'Same with long putts. The two of them get a read from both sides of the hole, and then they can compare "notes" on the next putt.

Anyone watching the Big Break reruns? I had forgotten that Gerina's maiden name was Mendoza, and that Blair had finished 2nd in PEI before winning in the Dominican Republic.

CHEESE! I had forgotten too. I guess she's been a Piller that long! And oddly enough, she's the most successful out of all the contestants. Quite the career!

Blair proved she could play, but just couldn't quite get over the hump and get on Tour. I think she's done well for herself though. :)

Gerina is probably the most successful of the female players, but Matt Every, Tony Finau, and Tommy Gainey are probably more successful given that each has a win or two on the PGA.

Blair has certainly done well. Ryann (Big Break Sandals) gets overlooked, ad has had a better professional career.

I totally forgot Ryann was on tour. She's so hit or miss sometimes. But yes, there have been a number of male players that have made their marks as well.

Tony is definitely the most successful of the bunch. Yeah, he only has one win, as he seems to lack the Sunday Top Gear. (Similar to Gerina). However, he does have 35 top 10's, over $18 million in earnings, and is ranked #18 in the world. He has also played on Ryder and Presidents Cup teams.

Watching the final round of the 2018 HSBC. Exciting finish. With 4 holes to go there were four players tied for the lead, and 7 players within two shots.

Watching the 2010 USWO. Wow, what a time machine. You've got Paula in the lead, with Americans Cristie, Natalie, B. Lang, and Christina making appearances. 15 year old Lexi was in the mix. You've also got the second wave of talented Korean players, Inbee, Na Yeon,, Jiyai, In Kyung and Amy.

Gutsy performance by the Pink Panther dealing with a hand injury. Paula was #2 in the world at one point. Quite surprising that after this win she only won one more time on the LPGA.

The Golf Channel is replaying three year's worth of USWO today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Also, on Sunday Fox Sports will replay the 2015 USWO.

Yes. I can relate to their distances and learn from their tempos and shot selection.

Yeah, I think Paula just suffered from bad timing so to speak. Not that she lost anything just the crop of young talent was that much better. It was basically the time of a generational shift in talent that mostly came from Korea. I think a similar thing happened around 2016-17 where the young talent pulled a generation shift replacing the old guard as the contender each week. Not to say the old guard couldn't win each week just the new young guns took it up a notch and put it at a pace the old guard had a hard time keeping up with.

I'm gonna enjoy the 2007 US Open replay today, it's nice to see Lorraina Ochoa playing in a competitive round again, even if it's a replay.

Watching the 2007 USWO. On the par 4 14th, Christie was 190 yds out in the fairway. A straightforward shot. She takes over 2 minutes to hit the shot. Sigh. On the next hole, the par 5 15th, she has 275 left for her 2nd. Can't go for the green. She manages to take 1:30 to hit her shot. Some things never change.

Se Ri with a great back nine to post the low round of the day, and a share of 4th. A very young 18 year old Inbee shares 4th, and gives us a glimpse of things to come.

Was just watching that too, on the little TV as my grandson decided he needed the big one to watch Paw Patrol. Guess who Grandma sided with!?

How bad was her little pitch 3rd shot into the par five. Don’t remember exactly which hole, 15 or 16. Missed the Green was 30-40 yards (actually hit the green, but not far enough back and took a slope and rolled off).

Watching the final round of the 2014 USWO. First thing that came to mind, has it really been 6 years since Michelle won her major? Time certainly does fly. Diggin the tabletop. She took a page out of Tiger's playbook hitting those stingers.

Amy was in the final group for the fourth time in 5 years at the USWO. She was also in the final group in 2015. She was so strong in the majors, but couldn't snag a win.

2015 USWO. In Gee has such a great swing. Her tempo is superb. She really had the game for majors. Fairways and greens. Her back injury really derailed her career.

I enjoyed the Olympic replay in the evening over the weekend. It was a great reminder how Inbee came back from injury and was a machine and probably close to one of the last times we seen the old or real Lydia. The course was petty nice too but like many courses across the pond, you need that wind to give it some teeth. It was also a sad reminder that Brooke cost herself a chance at a medal on the 16h hole round 3 where she 4-putt for double bogey when she had a 3 foot par putt. It still hurts as much today lol.
