Non-Mainstream Golf Brands

The golf world is flooded with Adidas/Nike/Under Armour/Footjoy/Puma/Oakley and other brands sold at big retailers like Golf Galaxy. But I often find myself wanting something different, and I like to support the start-ups and makers out there.

On these forums there is often chatter about these lesser known companies on a one-off basis. A Criquet shirt here, a Seamus headcover there. But I struggled to find a thread with everyone’s favorite non-mainstream brands all in one place (apologies if I missed it). So here goes with a list of brands I have bookmarked over the years. Some are golf-specific, others are not.

I love Reigning Champ stuff but I haven’t seen one piece of their clothing and thought it would be something to wear on golf course.

Ive got 8 hoodies, 5 sweats, and a few sweat shorts

Fenix Xcell based out of Thailand and have great gear with an Asian twist. I absolutely love all the vivid colors and options especially from their previous collections. They also have a U.S. based collection that may suit others.

Cross Sportswear based out of Sweden and have so really nice gear and a rarity which is water proof trousers that look exactly like slacks.

Antigua polos are nice quality and have some good designs.

Druh has really good gear...pricey but still nice stuff.

Function 18 has quite a bit of your higher end apparel all in one place. I start there and then go to each website individually to see what else they have available.

Check out Pioneer Golf Co, Canadian headcover brand. Make some awesome covers and valuables pouches, starting to release some branded apparel. Prices are super fair and if your in the US, they'll be a steal.

You mention Golfers Journal, which is a great magazine. Most of their gear is made by their sponsors, including Linksoul clothing, Links & Kings leather goods, etc. Its all high quality stuff, as is the magazine.

Check out the coaches pant/short and they have a couple polos I think but could be wrong. I run coaches stuff as my go to bottom also have a half zip technical fabric top.
