Titleist weights for 818

Will any of the sure fit weights fit the 818 hybrid or are there specific ones just for the hybrid? I want a lighter weight than the 14g one that came with it.

The 818 hybrid weights are shorter.

Kinda dumb IMO that Titleist manufactured 3 different sized weight slugs for that series of club ( 917/TS3 driver, 917/TS3 fairway, 818/TS3 hybrid ).

At least with any 910, 913, 915, TS2 club, the weights were same for each series' driver / fairway / hybrid.

I confirm what @ARL67 noted - the 818 weights only work with that family (818 H1 or H2) of clubs. Drivers / fairway wood weights will not work in the 818s, and weights from the 818 will not work in drivers or fairway woods.

That’s disappointing, so the lightest weight is 10g-not gonna make much difference. :(

Get some aluminium tube of the correct diameter and make your own weights. Cut it to length and fill the centre (for neutral bias) with the desired balance of weight.

if you’re that hungry up on it you could just try it with no weight to start and then just increase in 2g weights til it feels right.

Word of Warning:

Last year I was fooling around with "other weights" in my TS3 driver and then one fell into the head chamber. Unbeknownst to me there was hot-melt in there which secured that weight to the face like the gravitational pull of a black hole. So dumb me, kinda confused at that moment, inserted another weight in there to see what was going on, and it too disappeared into the black hole. No amount of banging the club-head would dislodge those weights. I even tried leaving the head in the freezer over night. No-Go. I researched a bit on how to dissolve hot-melt / rat-glue and came across a chemical MEK, which you can get at most any hardware store. I used a small funnel to pour some in, let it sit overnight, and it did dissolve the hot-melt and I was able to get those 2 mystery weights out. Later in that season, I ended up buying another new TS3 in a higher loft and was curious if there was hot melt in the head from the factory. I inserted a tiny pebble ( smaller than a grain of rice ) and sure enough it stuck to something.

Little late to this, but I did the same and on the range I removed the weight full stop and hit shots without the weight present and the star fitting removed and the lodged bit flew out down the range.

 

Regarding the 917FW and 818H weights. They are the same size, I have the weight pack for the 917FW and measured up against the hybrid weight. The difference I see is the material used to make them rather than anything else. Hope that helps
