TT DG S300 vs TT AMT White S300

They should perform identically.

 

I only have experience with the X100 versions but the only difference would be the long irons possibly launch a little higher due to the lighter weight. I believe the Tour issue AMT's that I play are the same profile as the AMT white just weight sorted. No issue going from DG X100 to AMT X100 for me.

I'm in the same boat ^ I play the TI AMT x100 after playing the TI x100 for years, long irons fly a touch higher, it's not very drastic for me about 1-2* higher but from a feel standpoint I can't tell any difference between a Dynamic Gold x100 and the AMT x100. I'd assume the same would apply to the s300 flavor. If you struggle to launch your long irons the AMT likely won't make a drastic change for you.

Thanks for the info guys. Not stuggling with long irons. Just wanted to see if there is any significant difference or advantage as I saw some used AMT shafts online. Seems like I don't need to change my DG S300 :)

What would the difference in peak height and spin be with these vs KBS Tour stiff? (generally I know it's player dependent)

I’ve hit them both and I believe my trajectory is lower with the AMT. They feel to me like they took a lot of the backspin off the ball and not just on the wedges, but throughout. Everyone may be a bit different here and I’m more of a stagger than a flipper at impact but I’m going back to DG TT S300.

The 9 and PW shaft is the same in AMT as the standard DG, its only 8 and longer thats different.

No difference for me what so ever from S300 to AMT S300 other than peak night on longer irons. Can’t explain why but slightly different

What about the weight? Can you feel the difference in the lighter weighted 4i-7i?

I have the DG S300 now and I feel I’m struggling with the weight towards the end of front 9/beginning of the back 9. I like the weight in my short irons, but the longer irons kill me.

I switched to AMT from S300 and haven't noticed much difference, but I've only played twice so far. Long irons definitely feel lighter, and maybe just a touch higher ball flight, but they play about the same for me.

Lighter in long irons, so the launch is a little higher. Balance point is such that swing weight will be the same throughout the set. For me, it’s the perfect shaft as I get what I’m used to in the short irons with the lower flight of Dynamic Gold. Since I’m 51 years old, the decrease weight in the long irons helps me hit them easier. Although I normally play a 21* hybrid, I practice with and would have no problem bagging my 3 iron with AMT DG s300.

That’s good to hear. I have been playing TT DG S300 shafts for the last 10 or so years and I’m getting to the point where it is just flat out exhausting swinging anything over my 7 iron.

I just ordered a set of brand new shafts AMT White S300’s from GolfWorks. Looking forward to some lighter long iron shafts with some more height.
