I ordered 4/29 some 0211’s with original build date of 5/14, which got pushed back to 5/29. Now I web-checked again this morning and there’s not even a build date on there anymore. It got removed and only shows my order received 4/29. What...in...THE....h*ll is going on now??

Should I be worried? Or my pushed back build date of 5/29 is still over a week away so it’s not even close to being built yet, thus no problem. Would you guys call and see what’s up or am I overreacting?

I didn’t care before cuz all my courses were closed but now they’re all open and I’m playing with irons I don’t really feel like playing.

There’s no chance at this point that it will be LESS than a month wait on the 0211’s, so I wouldn’t be too concerned. Like I mentioned, something very similar happened to my 4/19 order with respect to the online status updates. What would be more useful to me personally would be to know how many orders are ahead of me and approximately how many orders are being filled each day. But PXG probably wouldn’t want to divulge that information =)

So, I got a chance to play a practice round with the 0211’s, and I’m very impressed by the overall look and feel of these irons. Despite that large sweet spot, I managed to catch a couple off-center and the feedback was very fair. I chose the Elevate Tour shafts in extra-stiff, and like others have mentioned, they play a bit softer to flex, and the tip section is stable enough for my liking. Good strikes are rewarded unlike what I thought possible from a cast iron. My only gripe is the wide soles, which you don’t really notice at address, but I feel PXG went overboard on. If every loft had the same sole width as say the 9I or PW, these irons would be a 10/10 slam dunk.

I just checked tracking again and I still have no status at all. It just says order received with nothing in Items picked/assembly. Oh well. I’m not going to cancel. I’ll just wait it out. And wonder when they’ll come. If they’ll come. And for all the late April people who ordered 0211’s, if all those orders will ever be fulfilled.

Will they come, to all of us late orderer’s. And then I’ll think of Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven, squint my eyes, spit on the ground, pause and think to myself,

We all have it coming kid.

I'm going from MP20 HMBs to the 0211s that I ordered on a whim just because the current deal was so good. I wasn't even looking for irons as I got the HMBs last September and I don't change irons very often. Here are some comparison pics of the 6 irons, 8s, and PWs.

Played my first round with the 0211s today after about 18 rounds with the HMBs, which I really like. Having said that, I'm selling the Mizunos and keeping the PXGs. They are just tremendous clubs. Feel and sound is softer and better than the HMBs and it's not even close. They're a club longer than the HMBs, go higher, and way more forgiving. They are a little bigger than the Mizunos but not too big by any means. And, they actually have less offset in the shorter irons and wedges than the HMBs. As others have said, they look a lot like Pings from address, but more premium. Forgiveness of a G series, but offset and appearance of a slightly larger i210. For $100 a club, they are an unbelievable deal. I'd gladly pay twice that for the 0211s now that I've seen how good they are. If you're on the fence, and have the money, they're definitely worth trying. You can always return them if you don't like them.

Curiously, Maltby doesn’t list these irons in its MPF stats. Anyone know what the MOI or VCG is? What would you guess?

Since Maltby tests the 6 iron, and the 0211 6 iron is larger and more game improvement, I'd guess the MPF would be in the 650 to 700 range. They are very forgiving. I played G400s for a long time and the 0211s are very comparable in forgiveness to me. I'd assume they would have a slightly lower MPF than G400s, but they are very easy to hit. Much more forgiving than the i210s, and the HMBs I had been playing.

My order was placed 4/25. My build date was pushed back to 5/25.

I ended up buying a set on Fleabay, and cancelled my order this week. Sounds like they may have built and shipped by next week.

I played my first round with the irons today. Wow! Very forgiving, even on shots hit a few grooves low, which is my typical miss. Hit lots of greens today, hit a number of punch shots, a few 3/4 swings. Very easy to hit and very forgiving. More forgiving than my 712 AP1's. Much better feel.

Been playing like crap so far this season. Handicap is up 3 strokes already. Nice -1 71 today!

I’m not his source, but the specs on the Gen 2’s I ordered where so badly messed up I had to send them back. Loft and lie were all wrong (though none were 4 degrees off), but the lengths were the worst part. I was sent three clubs (7, 8, and 9, if I remember correctly) that were basically the same length (two were the exact same length and the third was less than 1/4” shorter).

Driver: TaylorMade SIM 8* (standard setting) with MCA Tensei AV Raw Orange 75TX at 44.5"
3W: TaylorMade M5 15* (standard setting) with Oban Devotion 8 O5 at 42"

So with all of these PXG sales, I bought the 0211 irons several weeks ago, and played about 10 rounds with them. I did not get fit for them, but took a flyer on the Elevate 95 shaft. Turns out, although they may not be 100% for me from a fitting standpoint (I would ideally like something in the 105g range), I love the Elevate 95, they perform great, and they are very easy on my joints. The 0211 irons were great in those initial rounds.

With the sale, I also bought a set of Gen2 0311 irons, combo SGI in 5 and 6, and XF in 7-GW. Again, not fitted due to Covid situation, but went with Steelfiber 95, which were no up-charge at the time. I've had some experience with the SF 95. Gave them a few rounds, but I just never got comfortable with them. Not sure if it is the heads, or the shaft, or the combo, but they just weren't getting it done. Threw the 0211 irons back in the bag today, and it felt like getting right back into that comfort zone again. Spoke to PXG, and they will do one re-shaft of the Gen2 0311 irons at no charge if I want to go that route. Will try to set up an actual fitting appointment this time to try to get it right. Otherwise, I could go with something in the Elevate range, or just send them back to cut my losses.

Anyway, on point with this thread, just another affirmation of how good the 0211 irons are. I just love them. As a mid-capper, I ain't hitting them perfectly every shot. But they look, feel and perform just so good at their current price point.

That makes me feel marginally better about not pulling the trigger on a Gen 2 set when they were available. I typically keep irons for a while (0211 are my third set in 10 years). I picked up the 0211 last September so I certainly didn’t need something else but the Gen 2 Hero price with the Steelfiber 95 was pretty crazy.

Yeah, I just couldn’t resist the Gen2 when the SF 95 was no upcharge. But I seem to get drawn to the SF on reputation more than performance for me. I have a feeling that if I had simply gone with the stock Elevate 95 or Elevate Tour with the Gen2, I would have had better luck. Or, I may have been better off with the P series head—just another example of better to get fitted when possible. I went with the XF for, you guess it, the extra forgiveness. Nice to have the 30-day return policy as a crutch.

I will say, in the feel department, edge does go to the Gen2. They really feel amazing, even the gargantuan SGI irons. And those SGI irons are fun to just let rip. They are huge, but do perform.

And I will say it again, the 0211 seem to have the look and feel of the Ping i series, with the forgiveness of the G series. Really great job by PXG on those.

I was going to go 4,5 SGI 6,7,8 XF and 9-G P. Had them sitting in the cart for 3-4 days. By the time I was ready to cave in, they were charging for the SF 95 and the P’s were out of stock in the short irons.
