New Srixon irons?

I’m with the minority, love my 65’s, I have looked at the 785s a number of times, but I see no reason to change.

Did not mean to offend you at all I just think the consensus is that people on here have generally preferred the looks and performance of the 45 and 85. Nothing wrong with that or the fact that you love yours! Srixon arguably makes the best irons of any OEM at the moment.

I wasn’t offended. I thought your statement was very general because I see many posts that like the 65 and many that like the 45. I am finally going to order some 85s because my 65s have been beat up enough, so I will have to learn to like the square toe. As long as they feel the same, I wil get over the slight difference in the look. To me, the biggest value of the Srixons is how much they cost compared to how they feel. I imagine this buttery feel is what the Endo forged Japanese irons feel like.

Srixon irons are endo forged japanese irons! So that's what you're feeling. IMO the 785 are more consistent distance wise which I like. Perfect head shape and the offset is hidden perfectly.

I just wonder what the next irons will be call. Can’t really jump 20 again unless they call them 7105 they will have to come up with a new naming system

My z745's were forged in Thailand. I feel confident a suitable Hattori Hanzo journeyman was operating the press in (Endo?) Thailand.

I may be in the minority in this, who know but I wish the ZU they made a touch smaller. I am by no means an amazing iron player but I tend to like irons where I don't see the backside hence why I'm in the Srixon 85 combo. But the ZU85 is huge, more like a hybrid than an iron, I just don't like the look and it throws me off, I want to but can't. Will see what they come out with if not the Titleist U500 is looking mighty appealing.

I gotta say, I finally sold my TP MBs (2012 version with the button in the back) and grabbed Z-Forged. I've played Mizunos MP18 SC, JPX 919T, tried multiple heads, and these Z-Forged are just so similar and a great club. I can't stand blended sets. I hated the look of the 5 series. 7 Series wasn't all too sexy either. Z-Forged from 4 - PW is the lick. Someone described them as the ball sticking to the face a bit long and that is a totally accurate description. As soft as all other blades and a bit forgiving with their face size. I'm a fan. I'm ticked it took me this long to find them.

Ever thought about ordering a 585 3 iron instead? I did this and its awesome. You do still see some sole, but definitely not as offensive. And the mirrored finish at the back really helps disguise everything.

I have to emphatically disagree with MEH on the 785 ....I'm lefty so never got to hit 745 but the 785 looks and feels so much better than 765....maybe it's the shaft choice ....idk

I have, it seems like a pretty obvious addition but this is a chance for me to try out other things first including shafts as I may want a graphite vs the AMT White I have.
