There’s one other couple we hung out with since this started with the idea neither would do anything else. Pretty nice to get out of the house on the weekend still. I’ve been playing golf the whole time walking or riding solo, but 4 somes every time. Being outside doesn’t really bother me at all. My men’s league started this week and most took off but some of us stood around for 20 minutes after keeping a little distance.

We will be living in a environment of managed risk for the foreseeable future. You must make smart choices in how you interact with others. I have golfed with others guys, but have not accepted invitations to go to someone's house and drink after.

I have to set a good example for them. I can't hang out with my friends if they can't see their friends. I think if you take a cautionary mindset, your risk is very low. If everyone did the same, the virus would eventually disappear. However, some people are believing facebook scientists and fringe media and suggesting you can do whatever you want and the virus is no big deal which will harm the entire population for a longer period.

As long as people are making reasonable, educated decisions on their behavior based on science, I fully support those decisions.

I am focusing on what I can control, which is my behavior.

Well said. We decided to do this with the two other couples but not anyone else.

It does look like Whitmer may allow gatherings of up to 10 people after the current order expires, so we'll probably re-evaluate at that point.

Side note: quite a few guys (3 so far of our 15-16) from our league are dropping out this year...kinda sad. Still excited for it to start next Tuesday!

About the same, but mostly due to weather. With baseball season not happening, I will play more overall this summer I am guessing.

Less so far, but that's mainly because of uncooperative weather. I did miss my annual May trip, which would normally have been last weekend, and would have involved 4-5 rounds. I haven't played on a weekend since the shutdowns started, mostly because I haven't really tried to hook up with anyone to play (if not playing Publinx matches, I'd most often play with my parents on the weekends, but they haven't come back yet from their winter house in Texas), and I don't want to get up at the crack of dawn to beat the crowds. Warmer temps in the mornings for the foreseeable future should mean that I'll get out more often during the week. since I have a little more flexibility with my work schedule these days.

Before I call these places does anyone know offhand if they have the pool noodles in the cups at these courses or raised cups? I prefer to have the ball be able to fall into the hole like they have at The Meadows.

I'm curious about Kaufman, The Mines, Saskatoon and Boulder Creek? Thanks.

It actually was kinda hard to get someone to answer the phone. Both Saskatoon and Kaufman are using the pool noodle method. FYI.

Playing today at a course in Jackson that had a large whiffle ball in cup. Ball would sometimes hit the ball and bounce out. Playing partner’s ball hit flag on once bounce and pretty sure it hit whiffle ball and bounced out costing him hole-in-one.

That sucks. This idea of putting something in the cup not allowing the ball to drop is so over the top. With the amount of fertilizer and other chemicals, being exposed to the elements all day, etc it feels like an extreme measure that is unnecessary.

Does anyone know how to edit a score in GHIN? It gave me a combined score of 115 for two nines I played earlier this month when it should have been like 78-80. I'm guessing I fat fingered one of the scores, but I cannot figure out how to edit it now. It's obviously thrown out for calculation purposes but I hate seeing it!!!

You can't do it yourself. I had an issue this year where The Grint was automatically uploading my scores to GHIN without me knowing it and then I was entering them in GHIN. Lead to a few rounds being double posted. Anyway, after doing some research the only way to fix it is to contact the administrator for your course or club who you get your handicap through. In my case, I get it via an individual GAM membership so there's no one I could go to. Oh well, just have to play more rounds to get those double posted ones to fall off!

Yep calling is ultra easy, they fix it right then. I had a double score posted.

Congrats, I got my second two weekends ago. Had two of my kids in the cart with me. 23 years apart, same course same club number (5), different hole

I was able to get mine fixed this morning after a couple emails. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Apparently I put a 75 I shot at Twin Lakes in as a nine hole score, and it got combined with a 40 I shot at Katke. I must have had too many beers that day!

Trying to get a SIM in x-stiff (left handed). Everywhere I have called doesn’t carry x stiff in stock, and ordering through Taylormade won’t ship until July. Does anyone know of any stores in southeast Michigan that would carry x stiff in stock?

The places that immediately come to mind are Carl's of course and the Club Champion in Royal Oak. There's a golf shop right next door to the Club Champion, but I've never been inside and I'm not sure if they're affiliated.
