Running shoes for Golf.

Since I have probably walked more this year caring a minimalist setup I have started just wearing running shoes. No slipping and comfortable

In the summer I often wear my Brooks GTS runners and have no traction issues. Couldn't get away with them in the winter though (I live in Wales which gets very wet).

I was just looking at the new nike wildhorses, a trail running shoe but just about a spikeless golf shoe.

I quit buying golf shoes a long time ago and went full time to Salomon trail running shoes. They’re not cheaper but the comfort and performance are light years beyond any golf shoe I’ve ever worn. I’ll never wear a dedicated golf shoe again.

Brooks are comfortable and stable shoes, I have wore many pairs to play golf. Also, ASICS the upper end models that you get at running stores. comfortable and stable as well. I have wore both of these to play golf and love playing in them. I have FootJoy and Ecco golf shoe, but the running shoes don’t make my legs and feet ache when done. Only down side is, I haven’t found a pair of running shoes that will keep your dry in the morning dew.

I can't wait for the new running/golf shoe Brooks has been wearing. Should be best of both worlds.

I have those(different color) and they are excellent, superb for golf. Great support and comfort. Grip is very good haven’t slipped once. Much better shoe for golf than all of the lower end Nike offerings ie Roshe, Roshe Tour. Very stable and grounded-feeling. You can sway all over but you feel locked into the ground. Cleans up nice and I actually love the inner heel pads. Those are gold. Why they don’t put those in their golf shoes is beyond comprehension. Seems like a no brainer but this is Nike golf so...

since the zoom infinity tours didn’t release I was looking at different options from nike, I’ve been intrigued by the Mike Trout turf shoes. They are stylish, comfortable and very ‘grippy’

I often wear my Adidas Ultraboosts to the range on dry days. Haven't tried them on anything wet or played a round, but I think they'd work to walk on a dry day.

If you follow Erik Anders Lang on YouTube you'll see him playing in NMD's sometimes (same bottom as Ultraboost).

You guys got me looking at the Nike trail shoes...I don't see much difference between those bottoms and what you find on spikeless golf shoes. And if you're down with color, several options.

I use these at a little practice area but it tears the ground up Somehow so I’m afraid to use them on a course. I see lots of people use Salomon and Altra running shoes though.

Yet to try out my Nike Terra Kiger on the course, but thinking this will be the way to go in the future. Wish Nike would have a look at some trail / golf crossovers in the future, I like all the trail stuff and their ACG stuff, it'd lend it's self to golf very easily.

The new balance hierro V5 are great. I walk a decent bit and it’s hilly for sure and these shoes are awesome.

After reading this thread I took a shot on some New Balance turf shoes, the 4040v5’s. They were on sale and I walk a lot. I played Friday, Saturday and Sunday walking and today my legs were sore! I was wearing NB golf shoes. I’m hoping these work as I’m fairly limited due to my size (16EE). We shall see!

Well I can confirm that new balance do have a wide toe box. I love mine though
