Are these worth picking up? I love the bag, and the set seems to be all there....

Like you I only joined FB to gain access to PGS> And also like you I have the least amount of information posted. But just recently have found out we have a few persimmon players in the Carolinas. In fact one of the guys is putting together a persimmon tournament this year. Just hoping I am healed up in time. If not I will more than likely go anyhow to meet and talk to the folks and perhaps do some club trading

Thanks man and thanks to all of you. I have a Cleveland driver in the building a little different than yours. Mine has a two tone insert and it is a monster from the factory, S-400 shaft and 45" length still has original factory grip.

Depends on how much they want for them. They are department store line. Now the irons I have a set and they hit good and had quality Brunswick shafts. The woods I have no clue on. If they wanted less than $30 for them I would jump mainly because of the bag they are in

^ Thanks guys, they were put up for 80 a few weeks ago, have since dropped to 55. I was just looking at them likely as an addition to the collection that maybe might get played on occasion for fun. Maybe if the price drops again to 40 bucks I'll go grab em. Thanks, I thought maybe since they had "tour" on them maybe they were something cool, but if just dept. store stuff I wont go outta my way. Cheers

I acquired a couple of mid-line persimmon drivers today. I know the brand names are nothing special but the quality level seems surprisingly high. I wouldn't call them "store line" in the usual sense.  The TNT appears new and the Tour Model is only lightly used and has a rather deep face. Both are very solid and playable. I'm always on the lookout for player persimmons but they're very rare around here so these were a welcome find.

Anyone have any info on these companies? I'm guessing budget pro shop line? Struggling independent builders? Store line nobodies?

Oh yeah... he also had a set of Hogan PC blades. Any insight on those? Thanks!

Got bored the other night and decided to check the local craigslist for vintage clubs. Ran across these and decided to make an offer.

Walter Hagen, Haig Ultra's - 71-72 model year I believe. Includes 1-9 irons, pitching wedge, sand iron, and an all purpose wedge. Plus the original box.

Will look pretty nice once they are cleaned up.

After I arrived he started pulling out more clubs. We made a deal and I brought the rest home.

Walter Hagen, Lady Ultra's.

And finally 4 putters. Two Otey Chrisman's, a Matzie Velvet Touch Old Hickory, and an Acushnet Bullseye Wideflange.

Enjoy the pics!

Acquired these recently, way below FMV. Knew not what they had. The listing descriptive was for "Vintage Karsten Irons" and 1ST. But good accompanying pics were the tell. I'm rather smitten at the moment. They play better than anticipated. Even with the stiff Z-Z65 shafts. Perhaps a YTBD reshaft to more user friendly ones is in the future. If they remain worthy and stick around for awhile. Never know about these things, they come and they go.

They're 30+ years old, that's ancient in some circles. A wonky classic by my definition.
