I'm sure this has been answered at some point .. with the CF16 combo set, what is more ideal to fix the gapping issues?

 

Strengthen the CF pro or weaken the CF lofts ?

or traded into Callaway for $480 with trade enhancement. thats what Ive been doing looking for cheap Apex/Apex Pros to trade on new combo set :)

BTW as I mentioned in the other thread, Callaway replaced the 4 iron after initial "hesitation".

I recently tried the P790's, Cobra F9's, Titleist, TM, etc. but these Apex clubs are still my favourite GI irons. Nice feel, incredible distance + performance. I did not try the 2019 Apexes yet but I really don't need anything else than what I have with these clubs. . Callaway hit the bullseye

Was in the market for new irons. Had been using 714 AP2s w/DG s300. Because of some health issues, and just getting older, began looking for something a little easier to hit with a lighter shaft and regular flex. Had hit the CF16s and liked them, but didn't want to spend the cash. The CF19s came out and I liked them, too, but they were even more expensive!

 

Went on CPO and found a set of CF16s 4-PW in "Like New" condition for a really good price. Also, got to apply a 25% discount being offered. With the trade-in of my AP2s, the total came to about $300. Took them to the range for the first time yesterday, and absolutely loved them. Great feel, and, very forgiving. The XP95 r300 seem like a really good fit for me. Oh, and by the way, the "Like New" clubs were brand new, never been hit, the heads still in the plastic shrink wrap. Feel like I really hit a home run!

The best part is chipping with the 9 iron around the greens. I have holed out twice with them. I play these and the P790 as well. The CF16 short game is great.

Bump. Still the best, for me anyway. I improved my swing this season and now I absolutely nuke these irons and they are straight and reliable. Totally changed my game because I can hit the irons so far I can use a 4 or 5 off a tee and still have a short iron in on most par fours.

I had a set for a while, sold them in favor of Pings. My Pings are showing their age so I was interested in trying the new 2019 model, which I thought were really nice but didn't perform better than the CF16. CPO has such a deal on like new CF16 that i couldnt pass it up. They were about 1/4 the price of the CF19. So now I'm looking forward to getting a second go around with the CF16.

With you there CDL golf; I was wondering if anyone who hit the CF16's well found anything that was better for feel + performance? My playing partners can't believe when I hit 8 iron where they are hybrid or even 3 wood. Callaway has made a lot of different irons in the past 3 years, I haven't tried them all but the ones I tried were not as good.

Hi all. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but I can't seem to find confirmation of something and I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I have had CF16s for about 3 years and I'm looking at potentially replacing them this summer. I'm trying to do some comparisons online to a few options and running into a snag when comparing offset.

In the chart below, offset is listed but not with units. My best guess is that this is cm, but I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm?

These really are great irons. I still carry the A wedge as it is so easy to hit. Tried the Apex 19 and like these better.
