Pebble Beach Golf Courses To Open On May 4th

Just got a Dukes Club email that Pebble Golf courses will open following strict social distancing rules and procedures. They will open in phases with Pebble and Spyglass opening on the 4th and Spanish Bay and Del Monte to follow. Dukes club members will pay $425 for Pebble and $195 for Spyglass and rates are for an entire foursome.

Finally pulled the trigger and this is finally happening! Got a tee time on May 19th!

 

Can’t wait for this chance to play Pebble! Walked it last year during the US Open and knew I needed to play it even more!

The good/bad is that I’m flying solo for the round, but I also look at this as a good thing and can wander and not have to worry about anyone else in the group. But on the flip side, no other people that I’m friends with to share the experience with! Those guys all became crickets when I got the tee time and they were all saying, if I got a tee time they’d be in too.

 

Been on this site forever, let’s talk advice and suggestions! No shops will be open, so I’m thinking about just ordering a pin flag from the site. Which will land up saving me money since I can’t buy a ton in the shops!

If you can't get a caddie, buy a yardage book if possible. Very helpful.

Played Pebble yesterday. Weird not seeing many people around the clubhouse. Strict entry into 17 Mile Drive. No tourists allowed and they had my name on a list at the gate. We were the last group out and was nice taking our time on a beautiful afternoon. Super friendly staff out on the course. We all had our own personal pushcarts since no caddies allowed. Number one golf course to play on my bucket list is now checked off!

With the hotel closed can we book reservations for more than 1 day in advance. Seems like the perfect opportunity to book a round without having to stay there.

Yes, although the hotels, restaurants, shops, etc. are scheduled to open on June 15th. If you have an NCGA membership you can book Pebble during the month of June although there are a few blackout days and at a slightly lower rate.

You're right and II will wait until someone that I know that works there is able to get a tee time then it will be free!!

Got a Dukes email the other day that's offering Dukes members to play Pebble and get a free round at Spyglass. The offer is only valid from 6/8 - 6/10 and you have to play both rounds in that time period. I might have done it if I had more notice as I'm working from home and we have daily Zoom meetings.
