No one is talking about the new Tour Edge EXS Pro quipment?

Recommended Posts

I can't believe I haven't seen any threads discussing the new stuff coming for Tour Edge. Saw the article a few weeks ago and now see that pre-order is available through Tour Edge. I have to be honest, the EXS Pro driver looks nice and I am very tempted to order one without even hitting it. The whole wood line looks excellent. I am hoping the TXG guys get their hands on the driver and do a video.

Reminds me of the 2016 Great Big Bertha driver with the updated Epic sliding weight. What’s really new here though? I’ve always liked TEE and especially the EXS220 driver. It worked well for me, but wasn’t really any better than my old Ping driver.

Their stuff used to be premium, and then they went all cheap and weird looking. I don't like the path they are going down. Not a brand I would consider, and I think that's the popular sentiment, which is why nobody is talking about it.

I have hit the fairway and the hybrid a good amount, just reshafting the driver to get it out on the course. Hybrid is legit and in my bag, knocked out my Big Bertha 815 that I have had for years! Talked about it on my TG2 podcast last week! Let me know if you have any questions.https://soundcloud.com/golfwrx/tg2-reviewing-tour-edge-exotics-pro-woods-forged-irons-and-la-golf-shafts

I think the pro is a nice secondary release to the the standard heads. Tour edge is still very high quality.

Sorry but the EXS Pro irons are an exact copy of the Apex CF19 badging. It's really obvious and its not even an argument. It has nothing to do with everything in golf being a copy of everything....its literally the same cavity style. I dont know how TE let that one slide.

Not exact copy, but similar. The toe on the EXS Pro is more pointed and not rounded. From reading the information on the Tour Exotics webpage, their is also tungsten weights in the toe. The lower weight is also very different in shape. The badging might be similar shapes due to creating the optimal sound and feel characteristics desired. I guess the use of the "copy" term could be used for any blade iron created by an OEM.

Can't comment as I purchased the Regular Hybrid 19 and 16.5 wood and having them reshafted now.

They could have at least done a different color or something, the black portion really stands out and screams 'sAmE'

Had a friend send me a link talking about the hybrids and being “anti-left”. Checked them out online and read few articles and figured I would put it to the test having never seen or hit in person. The 30day trial period really sealed it for me, if it doesn’t work out and is no better than my gamer than I will send it back. But hoping it works out!

Pretty stock offerings at the moment though. The HZRDUS Smoke Yellow is in almost every OEM this year along with some sort of Tensei Product. It's interested that the EXS 220 seems to have a potentially real Ventus Blue...it has the 40T carbon at the tip that I think the TM one lacks. Could be wrong though.

Because no one has ever said “hey did you hear about that new Tour Edge club” ever. Is what it is. They make quality products. I tried an EX9 tour fairway but it was a hook machine, I found zero resources for swapping out the head weight. It didn’t work out for me and I won’t go down their road again. They are what they are. A senior tour commercial fairway wood manufacturer who also makes all the other clubs too.

Thanks for that. Weird that they would go for a Ventus with VeloCore but then cheap out on the 70T....these OEMs drive me nuts sometimes.

It all looks great but I had a chance to roll that new Wingman putter in PGA Supersotre today and was surprised at how bad it felt. Also extremely light headfeel. Didn't put it on a sw scale but feels so light its ridiculous. Looks great though.

Got one of the exs pro hybrids, club looks good and with the heavy weight on the toe the "anti-left" claim seems pretty legit. Took to the range and put in a couple rounds with it and didn't hit any real hard left misses which is very encouraging. However I didn't really find to club to be all that powerful/hot and came up short in the distance category. I know hybrids aren't exactly supposed to be a distance club, but I got the 17* model as its used as my 2 hyrbid/5 wood and could not hit my desired numbers with it to fill the gaps. It will likely be getting returned for a refund!
