Callaway Apex MB Tour Issue “multi groove”

Looking at a set for sale on EBay in the UK, seller has them listed as, “Rare Tour Issue RAW Callaway MB Apex 18 Multi Groove Blades 4-PW KBS 125 Tour-V.”

I have some knowledge of Callaway tour issue stuff (diamond, double dot, v grooves etc) but never heard of multi groove?

I asked the seller directly who just replied saying they are tour only grooves.

Could anyone help?

Pics of the backs of the clubs aren't going to help, need to see the faces.

As far as the seller listing them as multigroove, its probably just a set with more grooves, its an option they get on tour. I had a set of Apex Pro 19 Double Dots that had the extra grooves. Something like 3-4 extra grooves per club spaced closer together.

I have a set of Callaway X forged 18 dots, they feature the extra grooves on the face, just give the clubs extra spin which is good and bad depending on your swing

Yes those have the extra grooves. Normal have around 12-14 grooves on the face depending on the loft, looks like those have 17-19. As stated above, its supposed to produce more spin. Something Callaway has done for a long time on tour.

From the looks of the toe on one of those pics they have been in a bending jig. I think I'd ask if loft/lie have been changed from standard.

If anyone fancy’s a set of X forged 18 dots with the smaller tour head, extra grooves and less offset. Mine will be going up for sale. X100s 4 to PW plus 21 and 24 UT Irons
