Maybe grab a shaft on ebay and swap it into the stiff version then resell the extra shaft?

Seems like my only option. Didn’t want to drop another 70-100 but as you suggested I can make some of that up by selling the stiff one. Mainly want to take advantage of the 150% trade in bonus, which is why the 4 week delay on orders is an issue for me (trading in old driver). Thanks for the help.

Anyone play golf in Northern Michigan yet this year? Would enjoy hearing about the courses up there. How are they handling covid? Which courses are open, etc. Heading to Treetops at the end of June.

is the heather course at Boyne walkable? Played up there a long time ago and all the courses blended together other then Bay Harbor

Yes, it's walkable but I wouldn't want to.

i would agree, it’s pretty flat for up there but long walks from green to tee.

Yes, I'd say all of the courses except for Arthur Hills are walkable at Boyne, and you could probably even walk that one, but there is that one big hill to climb for the tee shot on #13. The Heather is easily walkable.

One big hill is an understatement, even going down that hill isn't easy.

I am getting old. Each golf season is a new injury I need to play through. Two years ago, it was shoulder (had surgery), last year was Tennis Elbow (did 4 months PT) and now its my back. I have never had back problems before, but one really is limiting my golfing success. It really hurts when I go after the ball. Headed to Chiro today to see if they can help me out. I miss the Gym.

I’ve had some success with lochenheath and there pro[i think his name was terry] when asking to get two rounds with our group and letting him know we’d eat there as well. Last year we were $150/ guy for 36... which is thought was a decent deal.

The Heather is mostly gradual hills where there are any -- the 9th green is a pretty steep climb, but it's not a long one, and there's another smaller hill where the green is perched on #7. On the back 9, you work your way up a hill on the 15th & 16th holes, but it's not steep. The 18th goes steeply down the hill back to the clubhouse. Other than that, it's pretty flat.

So finally played Arcadia. Incredible views. Played all the way back. Course was much more challenging than I thought. Mentally exhausting. Cant take any shot off. Tee to green...0 room for error. I cant count how many greens I hit where it just bounced over and I was 10 yards over and sometimes on a hill in the crap. I would play the course much different now that I know how it plays. Great fun though.

Watched Michigan Golf Live they had the Devries golf trail. I've played pilgrims&greywalls loved them both. my question is about Diamond Springs looks like a really cool trax, how does it compare to pilgrims.

I like Pilgrams better and have played it many times. I have only played Diamond a few times, my impression was it was a little more difficult with some carries and "swampy" areas that needed to get avoided. But still a really nice course and worth a visit for sure.

for sure helps to play that course a few times to know where you can miss. Ive never played it all the way back though. Thats the first course ive played that all the putts actually went towards the water. took awhile to get used to. hoping to get up there again this fall!

For sure, it ruined it for me. I use mobile exclusively and it "formats" very clunky and is too "busy". Such a bummer, I loved this site. I still have it bookmarked and occasionally read the Midwest thread. Maybe its an improvement for desktop users, but Im not one of them.
