And guess what Dan It is conforming too-- 2010 groove rules do not include anything 25* or less just thought I would throw that out there.

I ended up with a bunch of putters because a friend of mine is frankly dying and can no longer play. I ended up in that stash with 3 Bobby Grace V- Foils Mark 5 and 6. One of them was mine anyhow and the other one I built as a broomstick. He had cut the broomstick down to a belly putter. I ended up over 2 days building it back to a 48" broomstick. Which I experimented with broomsticks about 10 years ago and still have my Ping B-90I. I figured I may practice some since I can not bend over too good. I never did anchor back in the day and do not now. Did ok with it in practice. Also putted some with another Mac Iron Master i acquired the other day. My back may be cracked but it will not stop me from club hoeing> Anyhow did ok for 6 putts or so with the old Mac then got to hurting so I quit. Got an appointment today with the neurosurgeon and he is going to evaluate my latest MRI test. Got another MRI scheduled on the shoulder tomorrow which BTW is raising Holy H. E. L. L. this morning.

Ninja sounds like you got it channeled keep it up. Man wish I was healed up and playing with you 2 this Saturday

@dan360 Gold Mtn is nice. I've played the Olympic course. My only issue was that I lost my best ever divot tool and ball marker there. It fell out of my pocket as I was driving a cart. ?. Otherwise, awesome course.
I hope you are taking your White Trash Hotties. ?@BIG STU I hope you get better soon. Sounds like you are itching to be well.
There's still a slim chance we can tee it up together someday when I visit my sister or niece in NC. I'll be in touch on PMs if I get out there again. (But sadly I won't be playing my BBs...I don't put any Miuras on a plane...my mp67s are my travel irons...)

Well got the word today it is 6 more weeks on my back and then the neurosurgeon will see me again and then PT rehab. Shoulder we will know for sure after the 10th of June . Got to do the MRI on it tomorrow and then Ortho Doc on the 10th. I may not play this season.

Ninja if you get down here and do not want to pay to fly your sticks I do have a set of MP 68s with fitted R-300s. Yep part of my conforming bag with Callaway and Wishon wedges. Yep keep it just i case I may get the hankering and play some mini tour events or try to qualify for a US Senior Open LOL. One of the reasons I really keep that set up is because if some Turkey wants to run their mouth about conforming clubs I can play with those after all I built them and they are set up like the Macs. People here do not have me figured me out yet. One of my shootout buds ran up on me the other day and I was playing my vintage stuff including my 62 FC-4000s. He told the Pro Stuey hits those old black face Macs as good as he does his regular Mac blades. He thinks I am a great player and ball striker. Ha Ha I never called myself a ball striker. Even though Ninja called me out on that one night with my worn out Mac VIP wedge. These guys around here can not put 2 and 2 together they do not realize I build and set up my own stuff and most of my stuff I play iron wise hits about the same and my distances are about the same. BTW the Mizunos frequency the same thing as the Mac Hogans--- But then again you guys expect that of me

Hang in there Biggie Stuz. At least now you have more time to talk golf. ?

LOL you should have never showed me the face of your wedge. All it took for me to see your ball striking skills were the wear marks all over that face. ?

Hey and if you ever get out here to Portland I would gladly let you take your choice of playing either my mp67s set with Rifle 5.0s, my Retro TBs with Rifle 5.0s, or my satin BBs with NS Pro 950s R-flex. I will let you choose but my recommendation would be my Retro TBs set. The 5.0s are probably better for your swing than my 950s and they are still Miuras. ? And I think the retro style is more you. It also has R5 Dual woods and driver, mp-r 60* and 53*, and a TriHot #1 Odyssey mallet. What do you think?

The PING ti shafts, aside from running on the stiffer side of life, also helped promote a high ball flight.

one of JD’s big not so secret secrets in the early 90s was his “high launch low spin” ball flight. Ahead of the curve....

Oh yeah I have hit and like the retros. I actually have the Rifle 5.0 shafts in a set of KZGs and i love the way they hit. You have me figured well because i am looking around some to find me some Miura heads and have all intentions of putting those shafts in. Yep the driver and FW are good too because I have a 580 and a R-7 Quad I found on the scrap pile. Putter more than likely ok depends on how I putt those days. With me any more putting is funny either I am the Stu of old making everything I stand over or missing everything does not matter with the wand I have in my hand. Right now putting some with my broomstick Grace Mark 5 I built. I also have an old Ping B-90 I from 10 years back that I putted with some. And I did not anchor back then and neither do I now because I have a more wristy stroke than say Bernhard Langer or Scotty McCarron. Got at least 6 more weeks on the back and Lord only knows on the shoulder. The shoulder MRI was NOT successful this AM. With the rig on my shoulder to do the MRI my shoulders are too wide to get into the machine. Last week they were darn near too wide to do the back MRI. The tech who has plenty of experience said my shoulders were as wide as a linebacker. The Doc was in surgery and it is Friday ad I guess I will hear from them Monday

Wow it sounds like my Retro TBs are perfect for you. And truth be told I would even sell them for the right price. They were an experiment of best intentions but because of the heavy head weight I cannot swing them as fast as my BB sets so I don't play them much. If I do it is purely for practice. They feel phenomenal too and paired with the 5.0s they are sweet feeling with an aggressive swing.

So anyway if you are serious about getting a set of Retros, please PM me and maybe we can work something out. They are in awesome condition and they have GripMasters on them.

LOL BIG STU is too big for the fancy MRI machine. I'm not surprised. ?

@mdgboxx just get out to Portland for a Confessor's round and they are yours to play for a round.
And feel free to PM and make me an offer. ?
LOL they're my secondary beaters. I call them my 'Dirty Girls' cause I only bring them out when it's rainy and muddy - when conditions are too rough for my backup baby blades set. ?

Of course! I made your same comment in the thread about them in the JDM subforum. They look awesome and I love that golden bear stamp on them (being a Cal alum and all).

But...the bigger question is, have you seen the new Miura Giken TB Zeros? TB-ZEROThey look like they will be even slightly smaller than the BBs and the offer down to 52* gap wedge!!! This may be an even better design than the BB.

Miura is cranking out pure gold blade designs right now. And to think over a year ago when they got bought out I thought that would be the end of their blade lines.

Naah It aint gonna die you Ninja and I will keep it going----- I was out for a while my 15 year old rat rodded computer blew up in a blaze of glory. It was a true rat rod of a computer had been on life support for 3 years now. It started life as a Dell but ended up with HP Acer and even LG components. A bud of mine is a electronics genius and had rat rodded it together several times. This time that was it fire shot out the sides and the screen looked like a 60s acid trip. But it went out playing Vanilla Fudge on U tube hooked to a 200 amp and 2 classic Marshall speakers. Ordered this new HP. Had my glitches getting back on here had to change my password etc. Was about to give up on WRX and then it worked

Hi STU,

Thanks for the "Lift me up"
I'll keep on bumping every month or so.

Not much golf happening with me. Can't leave my Precious on her own more than 2 hours at a time, if that. Which is why I bought a bike. This COVID 19 thingny is of no help at all.

Makes me feel a little older whenever I see children wizzing through the internet and then try to talk to me about it as if I understood what they are saying.

I know the feeling of not much golf. I was flat on my back for the months of May and June. Just got the ok to slowly hit balls 2 weeks ago. I did build me a broom stick to putt with when I had my back brace on and could not bend so that helped some. Yeah I can relate on being old. I get on the net and look at some of the dirt track racing results and I see kids running now that I raced against their Dads and in some cases Granddads. Just the other night they talked about one of the fires in California was started by fireworks at a gender reveal party. I had to ask my wife what that was. We do not have any kids or grand kids and I tend to be in the dark about the ways of the modern world. The internet I can not deal with unless it is golf related or old school music related on U Tube. With my injury right now I am not a real blade player. I have a set of 1 piece forged KZG cavities with ( gasp) graphite shafts in them. Also threw in a Vokey I found on the yard with a factory graphite shaft.

Welcome to my world, STU.  I went fell Monty with graphite shafted irons and decided to go with Sr. flex.  Took me a while to get onto them because they were so darn light at just 55 gm, but an extension a new reduced taper grip and a bit of lead tape to balance them out and away we go.  I've hit some decent shots with them, even the 3 5 iron that I have set at 23.5° and 38.75".

Now all I have to do is try and get used to this new driver with a (gasp) 45 gm shaft.  Weighs like feathers!  I'll need some range time with that one trying to get my hook swing squared away.  Who knew that the solution would be to try and deliberately hit slices, but that seems to be what Alice Cho is suggesting. ?️‍♀️

Those irons the shafts are 85 grams. Now when I played them before I had put lead tape in the heads but due to my current circumstances I pulled all the weight out. Right now I am just trying to get the club back past 3:00. I can get through it ok just not back far. Basically my fall bent the bottom of my back to the right plus I picked up weight laying around.

Hi, sorry for the delay.

The Canadian/American Border is still under lockdown. Only essential products and/or business are permitted. Our Snowbirds have accepted the fact that "If you want to see next winter, you'll spend this one at home". Masks and Social Distancing are a MUST in all enclosed areas. Security Guards, enforcing those Rules, are becoming a rarity in the whole Quebec Province. I live on the South Shore of Montreal. In October, bars, restaurants, theaters, gyms and such, were briefly allowed restricted capacity, only to be shut down again a few weeks later. This, until the end of November, that I know of.

This COVID 19 is far more serious than we imagined it to be. The SARS outbreak of 2003, was nowhere close to what this thing is doing.

Until a vaccine is available, the only weapon of "prevention" is Sanitary Condition...Washing hands, Mask and Social Distancing (2 meters <-- 2m -->)

An once of prevention is worth a ton of cure. Our life depends on it.

Stay safe BIG STU

What does Jack Nicklaus and I have in common?

To see Tiger tie/break his record as the undisputed GOAT.

While he's not the Tiger that we know, He's still growling.

It was on local media here today but it came from the Tourism Comission is stating they may open up the borders on Nov 11th. But that may be wishful thinking on their part

I honestly think Tiger may very well win The Masters this year. My reasoning is that it is supposed to be wet and raining and if he can hit the driver straight he very well knows where to put the drive to get into those greens. Not a Tiger fanboy nor have anything against him but I call it like I see it.

Glad to hear from you again. I can share in your back problems. I broke my back and shoulder in a work related accident back in April. I had just started drawing my Social Security and working 2 days or 18 hours a week. Then wham a ladder collapsed as I was going up to sweep out a scrap trailer. Well now they think I have nerve damage. The Doc gave me ok to play some so I have been playing in the Saturday Dog Fights some. I had dropped weight myself because basically I was playing or hitting balls everyday and even walking like 5 holes with the minimilist vintage stuff. I had dropped 20 pounds or so with out really trying then Wham. I was on my back for like 3 months and gained it back.

It sucks.  I really should get in better shape, it's easy to put on the pounds but hard to remove them.   I've always been a bigger guy, as are all the males in my family back to the 1700s, and normally I've had "labor" type jobs where I could burn off the calories.  The last few years have been more paper pusher yell-at-the-apprentices supervisory, and the double 1/4 lb burger and 5 egg omlettes are still in my diet, and shouldn't be.

Slight hyperbole there but you get what I'm saying.

It rained pretty much all day--soaking wet mess.   Greens were perfect, tees perfect, most fairways perfect, as is normal out there, but there were a LOT of soft spots and plugged lies.   Very little rollout on the drives and most balls that landed short stayed right where they landed.  Greens were reasonable on speed for the conditions and held their reads true.  Consistent out there most always.  Nice course.

Shot an 86 from the blues, got a nice birdie on 16---the hole on the front cover of the card---and missed three other easy birdie putts inside 10 feet, but had a few blow up holes and not enough pars.  Lots of bogeys, simple mistakes--three putts, duffed chips, bad driving accuracy causing forced punch outs, etc.   Hard to score when you're always looking for your ball.

Attached a scorecard.

I can be physically broken without much golf in and still break 90 at Olympic from beyond the whites, I'll take it.   Especially where I can visualize all the places I lost simple strokes and could've had a round in the 70s.
