New Project X LS Iron Shaft

Anyone have any info on this? TrueTemper/ProjectX put out a teaser yesterday but i havent found any other info on it. Shaft has similar graphics to the LZ shaft just in different colors.

For those interested.... It is supposedly 1* lower launch with 500rpm less spin than original PX. Comes in Satin finish and only available in 6.0, 6.5, and 7.0

Instagram I saw them Sunday. The LS stand for Low spin. The will not even be offered in flexes lower than 6.0. This is a big boy only shaft and they seem to be marketing it as such.

Sounds like a c taper competitor. I love px and get great numbers just wish they were a little easier on the joints

That was my thought as well. Similar idea, at least on the surface as the C tapers. I could be off, but they sound similar. Straight from KBS. Hopefully these do not have the tip bending issues that I have heard from the C tapers. Never experienced it myself but I have heard about it.

I guess the positive is now there are more "tweener" options when fitting players between the OG PX and LS Lines. Will have my attention when someone playing the OG Project X switches (Rors, Rahm, Spieth, etc.).

Could they not have come out with a 8.5 or 9.0?!?

I still can’t get my 9 iron to carry more than 225 and it because of the spin when I’m hitting my trap-draw-stinger-knockdown-punch being way too high. Last week I hit the bottom of a Cessna with my PW.....but it still flew 208 to a back left pin tucked 2 paces from the fringe....on a 4 tiered green.....on the side of a mountain, next to a Goats on The Roof gravity coaster complex.

Just got fit for the Modus 130x currently in my bag. I’ve played OG PX for the past 3 years and loved them but still suffered from some ballooning shots. The modus launches the same as OG PX but it cut through the wind so much better. For the first time in years I don’t want to change a single thing in my bag. Why did PX have to do this to me? Ugh. I will probably try to get my hands on a 6 or 7 iron shaft and throw it in my 718 AP2s and hit a couple range sessions with it. I can’t resist the temptation to test despite knowing my gear fits me perfectly now.

Sounds like they are pretty much the opposite in terms of design, so I doubt someone that fits in to the LZ would ever want this shaft anyway.

That is WRX (or the internet as a whole) in a nutshell. Everyone hits their clubs way too long, about 30-40 yars farther than the longest pros, and no one can't putt (so they say, for their 15 handicap). SMH.....

If this is comparable to the KBS C Taper and you don't have to worry about the tip bending issue, Project X has a winner on their hands! It looks like a stepless design like the OG Project X. I will give these a hard look when they hit the market.

Degree lower with 500 less RPM. With a satin finish. I will definitely have to give these a shot.

If you have been on here 10+ years you have seen it plenty.......back in the day EVERYONE was in need of a TaylorMade R7 TP Super Quad with a Fujikura 757 XXX flex tipped 5 inches with a steel rod inserted in it in case you know “I want to step on it a little” to carry Snake River Canyon.

It’s calmed down over the years but you used to need hip waders to get through a single thread about “what shaft should I use”.

Dang, if they perform like Ctapers and hold up better than their known tip issues that could really be a winner for PX. I swapped to Ctapers from PXs, but seeing how these review they would for sure intrigue me to maybe swap back.

I wonder if the bend profile is different which leads to the lower launch spin or if it's the same profile of px just stiffer.
