will be interesting to see if any tour players or fast guys switch into it. Rory is px 7.0, cam champ is X7, Kyle Berkshire is X7, Matt Blois (TXG) has been fit into x7 multiple times.

Anyone have a list of more guys currently in the px 7.0, x7, ctaper 130x? Those seem to be the choice for guys looking to reduce spin maybe until this PX LS comes out.

As an X7 player, I'm interested. I've never been a huge fan of the way PX have felt in the past, so I doubt I'll make the switch, but it's fun to look.

I don't have a ton of experience hitting both but from a few range sessions and what I've read the weight is what most people notice but technically the 7.0s are stiffer. Look into the FCM for the shafts and you'll find differences with all of these low spin shafts

That makes complete sense. Sometimes weight and flex are hard to separate in terms of feel.

With Project X the difference is the weight, which also is what makes the 7.0 stiffer. With DG we change the flex by moving the steps. X100 and S400 are nearly identical weight but what changes the flex is the step pattern is starts closer to the tip in the X100.

With PX the shape (step pattern if you will) of the 6.5 and 7.0 are exactly the same, but the 7.0 is 5 grams heavier than the 6.5, hence it is stiffer.

Looks like the original satin rifle shafts Braly designed back in the day. Those were the best shafts. That’s a big statement for 500 less rpm and a degree lower launch. Will TT provide or show how they tested it? I’m guessing Fowler and Rose would be candidates to try these....especially the 125 and 130 gram ones

I did the same as I had the bent tip issues with c tapers, and was tired of it. I actually like the feel of PX better than c tapers, but at times I could spin the PX 6.5 a little more than I wanted to. I really didn't want to move to 7.0 and they were difficult to try anywhere. I'm hoping the 6.5 in these new PX LS will give me the great dispersion I had from PX with the spin reduction.

I have been playing the C Tapers for 10 years now and no bent tips that I know of.

I put a 6.5 PX in my 790 UDI and hated it. Wonder how these will feel in comparison. Only shafts that I would change into right now would be X100.

No bent tips? You must be a sweeper or play on some really soft courses. One steep swing on my course's Texas hardpan and you'll be reshafting that club.

Just went down stairs and checked the ferrels of my clubs and they all seem fine.

This is my 3rd set with C Tapers in the 10 years, My Scratch clubs lasted me 5 years(kept them but they are in Scotland). My Mp5s, friend is using them after I sold him them and he has had no complaints.

I live in Houston currently and practice off mats, 3/4 times a week. Texas courses are not really that hard, I was laughing at Artisan with John when he said the green is getting really hard and I was like this feels soft to me compared to what I was used to. My home course is a Scottish links course so firm turf normally.

Agreed. I would like to see a regular PX profile with better/different feel. Sort of like how KBS came out with the $-Taper which is basically the KBS Tour profile just with a different manufacturing process.

Maybe I should just build a set with PX and ProSoft inserts or dowels or something.

We tested with PGA Tour players, giving them two clubs, exact same specs, one with the PX and one with PX LS in the same flex. We targeted high ball speed, high trajectory guys, not all PX users. Saw consistent results across the board with the LS prototype being lower.
