I’m not sure what to think here. I want to say the ZX5 is an upgrade in the looks department, but the ZX7 and Utility might have gone backwards for my taste. Guess I’ll have to see them in person.

They look good, don't get me wrong. And, this is based off just one black and white pic. But, they don't seem all that dissimilar to the z85 line. In fact, initially, I think I prefer the z785 over b this ZX7.

Not a huge fan of the toe on the ZX7. It may be the reflection on the wedge throwing things off but right now I'd be looking for a backup set of 785s on the cheap.

This is really disappointing as a 765 lover. They’ve gotten progressively uglier and more complex since the 745.

They look very similar to JPX 919s as far as . Everyone of these manufactures just rinse and repeat headshapes of old. I'm guessing it will be hard to get people away from the Z785s especially the tour guys.

 

Has there been any hints of a release date yet?

I just ordered Z785. Doesn't look much different from the new line up and you can get them at a bargain right now!

Hmm, some kind of step pyramid going on at the toe? I was hoping for smoother, more Z Forged inspired lines.

They would have been better off just keeping the z745 in line for a few years, sorta like ping does with iblade. 765 was nice, 785 was a little different, this is just bad.

They keep getting less and less clean looking. But the sole grinds are the truth.

Mostly cosmetics. Paint fills in the badging and such. Harry Armett posted on this subject on here a couple years ago.

They'll undoubtedly look better in person. These USGA pictures never do them justice IMO and it's tough to see any finish work in them (brushed vs mirrored chrome etc).

Looks like they've done some work on the sole too. Appears to be some relief on the heel side, like the 45's.

I was also hoping for more Z-Forged inspired lines vs angular, but to each their own. If the 85 series was any indication, these will look nice from address.

It will be interesting to hear what they did to revise the 5s. 7s look like a tweak to the cavity, nothing noticeable.

There's a ton of the current blade and the textured or matte chrome finish you can see in these. Looks like Srixon continues to help feed the trend of homogenous combo sets. I think they look fantastic.

Have 745/65 sets And just picked up 85s to build with my shafts. Been excited to see what was coming this year but I’m not sure about the cavity, it’s so busy. Can’t wait to see them in hand.
