Callaway Apex v. Ping G410 Hybrid?

Seems these two are often recommended as "anti-left". Has anyone tested them head to head? Thoughts?

The apex can be bent, and is designed to not go left - the Ping has a hosel adapter allowing a flatter lie.

Either can work depending on your swing and preference.

I use the apex 19 hybrid. It's the best hybrid made in recent years IMO

i wanted to bend my 2016 Apex 2 degrees strong to fill a gap better behind my driver (no woods) and PGA Tour superstore wouldn’t touch it, neither would Golfers Warehouse. If you want it bent, it may have to be done at Callaway FYI, unless you find a person or shop willing to do it.

Prefer the look and feel of the G410. More adjustable and easier to get airborne for me. And found it is more anti-left vs. Apex.

Not sure which Apex your referring to but the 2016 version of the Apex is the best anti left hybrid I've ever hit to the point where I actually want to stock up on a few Apex hybrids in case something happens to my current one.

Just ditched the G410 for a 2016 Apex. The Apex is more anti-left and has a flatter, more penetrating traj. The 410 is just as hot but flies higher. I really use a hybrid for tee shots that are less than driver so i love a flatter ball flight. It still stops into par 5s plenty fast for me so its a non issue. I prefer the look of the Apex as well. Turbulators are pretty awful looking to me.

I prefer the 16 Apex over the 19 and also over the 410 .. love the feel and size and width of sole. It’s best thru the rough hands down

Random question but is it hard to remove a shaft from the Apex Hybrid hybrid without damaging the paint finish?

That depends on how good of a club builder the person doing the pulling is...

I have both the Apex 16 and the G410. The Apex and G410 are both very easy to hit and anti left. The Apex may be a tad more anti left and has a flatter trajectory. The G410 is a easier to hit and flies higher for sure. Distance wise, it’s a wash...maybe the Apex is a little longer. Can’t go wrong with either.

All things equal, the Apex 16 might be the best all around hybrid ever made.

Gaming the Apex 16. Cut it down a 1/2 inch to make it flatter. Anti-left and accurate.

I found the G410 to be more versatile and more forgiving. Flat setting can help with the left's.

I played the Apex for about 7 years, but switched for the forgiveness. Getting older had an affect......

Apex 16 plays more iron like, not as forgiving or versatile, for me.

Played a couple versions of the older Apex and now G410. I would say that I was always surprised at how easy to hit the Apex was because it is smaller and slimmer. It is an awesome hybrid design. The G410 is even friendlier and easier to launch. I'd say in my opinion, the Apex feels more like an iron replacement in looks and flight and the G410 feels more like a fairway replacement in looks and flight.

I have owned all of the Ping G hybrids from G10 to G410 ... IMHO G410 is the best of the bunch.

I really prefer the look and feel of the G410 hybrid. I've played nothing but PING in hybrids for years though. I thought the i15 was the best until the G410 came out but the G410 is just money. Very long and easy to hit and the feel is perfect. Put a good shaft it in and you just cannot go wrong. If you struggle with the hook with a hybrid, being able to flatten the lie angle is a game-changer. Great, great club!

Used to play the original apex in 20/23, now a G410 user. The ping is a bit larger, heavier head, more forgiving, and adjustable. Distance and ball flight is similar I think, but get the right shaft for you.

I hit a high ball but am intrigued with the idea of adding a 23* 2016 version with steel shaft. I tend to add a bit of loft and am working on a more penetrating trajectory. I feel like mentally if I know I don't have to swing hard or work to get it in the air these could suit really well - especially because they're anti left. No real interest in replacing the 5 iron but I think 20* + 23* and then 3w 5w could be awesome.

5i is an irrelevant club vs the 26* with the right shaft

Really tempted to pick up an Apex 19 hybrid with the sale on Callaway Pre Owned. I have an 816 H1 that I am just not that consistent with. Hoping for something with a lower trajectory and better for off the tee. Has anyone hit an 816 H1 and Apex 19 side by side?
