I had confirmation directly from Srixon on Instagram that the new irons and drivers will be released "...later this year!".?

That's awesome! Kind of makes you, or should, make you think about a few things in the big picture. It does me. Think Asia specifically, and the word manufacturing, and the term Covid-19. Oops, I gave away too much.

Srixon has the ability to take China out of the equation if they do so wish, which I would suspect they are doing so. They can manufacture in many countries including Taiwan, Japan (of course), Thailand to name a few. I'm just going to say it, I don't like China! I am not speaking about the people that are Chinese, I am talking about a whole other level in general. Hopefully people understand how we in the US have been hamfisted once again.

That said, I've never understood releasing new clubs at the back end of the playing season. Surely Spring would be the best time?

That's one thing I really wish Srixon wouldn't have done for the Hybrid and Fairway wood. Aside from the shaft options it allows you to really fine tune lofts and gap your clubs far easier. A couple of degrees doesn't sound like a lot but it's the difference between a 250 and a 230 yard fairway wood which makes it far easier to fit a wider audience. I'm sure it's potentially possible to bend it but it's not accessible, nor easy.

I don't necessarily disagree BUT eliminating the adjustable hosel frees up weight to use elsewhere in the head. If they are only going to offer one FW and HY option then that weight can be used to make them as forgiving as possible. But we'll see. They do look good though at least from the bottom. Interested to read reviews on their performance.

I know srixon irons get plenty of love, but I feel the drivers and 3 woods are quality sticks too. I've game a few different srixon drivers over the last few years and have been very happy with the performance. I also had an older z-tx 3 wood in the bag for 3 or 4 years before I replaced it. Look forward to the new releases.

I have played the H85 hybrids for over a year now. Best hybrids I have ever played and I've played a lot. Good weight and pop. Can't wait to try the new ones.

That's a good point, I suppose it's possible that if it fits you perfectly to begin with then it would provide more performance that way. I'll definitely be following along though it'll take a lot to pry my ping hybrids out of my hands :)
