Ordered 0211 4-G today. +1/2" / std lie / Elevate 95 regular / standard grip +2 wraps.. Coming from a set of I210 120 dg s300 and Mizuno MP18 mb s300. Dealing with some back issues this year and at 38, not getting through the ball consistently.

0211's felt fantastic and numbers looked good on trackman. Felt amazing to compress the shaft and get some pop off the face. Not looking forward to 4 week lead time I was quoted by my fitter...I hate waiting LOL

I was a little worried about dropping down to regular flex on my irons, but felt great and numbers looked good on trackman. I do have a pretty smooth swing. 7 iron club head speed 82-87 mph. Most of swings today were 84 mph but was feeling pretty stiff. I already switched to regular flex in my driver this year. Club head speed was around 84 mph today with 7 iron. BS 117 mph / smash 1.38-1.40 / carry 165-168 yard / 45-46 decent angle. Feel like I will be able to hit them low or high with ease. Nice smooth swing. I tried the stiff and just couldn't compress it like I wanted.

I’m really enjoying the Elevate shafts. I believe the VSS in these shafts are a big factor in why this set feels so darn good.

Hope I will too. A little worried about dropping down to regular flex as my last few sets have been all stiff. DG S300, DG 120 s300, Modus 120s and PX LZ 6.0. But don’t feel like I have much choice.

My game has been terrible this year and clubs have all felt like way too much work. Hoping 0211 are the right ticket, especially days when my body just isn’t feeling it’s best. I love playing golf but it’s no fun when you can’t hit the damn ball worth a damn

i was a 6 hdcp last year. With physical challenges this year (back) I haven’t played much or well. One round of 83. And league rounds of 44, 47, 52, 41 and 46 for 9 holes. Absolutely pathetic. Mind says go, body says no go.

Did you try any other shafts? The MMT? If so I would love to hear your comments on it.

I am right in between regular and stiff, but have gone with stiff in the past, and for those 1 or 2 shots a round that are in the deep rough: You hammer it to get it out and the tall fescue grabs the head on a regular shaft, twists it and it shoots out 15 degrees from where it was aimed. No, probably should not be basing the iron choice on 2 bad shots, I know, but if all other parameters are the same and it comes down to that, well....

Now reading your post makes me worried about going with a stiff, as my 7 iron go much shorter than yours. But I will attempt to try them at the upcoming fitting. Never have been to a proper fitting before buying clubs.

I didn’t want to go graphite. I have tried that in past twice and it didn’t work for me. In 0211 I tried only Elevate 95 regular and stiff. I tried a few other shafts in an i210 heads but didn’t like anything. 0211 with Elevate 95 regular was only combo I felt I could currently handle. My swing speed isn’t off any really and I hit these only a few yards farther than my MP 18 mb with DG s300. But with A LOT less effort.

With 0211 head. Elevate 95 stiff, I just felt they felt stuck in my transition. I guess my body just reacting to feel and telling my brain to quit turning to protect my back. I dunno. That’s best way I can describe it. Regular was just much easier to complete downswing and turn. I have a large arc and really smooth swing so I wouldn’t take my comments with much concern as your swing is probably different than mine.

I was hesitant to even try regular flex, but I’m glad I did. I was worried about spin and hitting it too far left. But spin was low 6000 and draw was 5 feet so I think I will be able to handle them even if my speed picks up a few mph when I’m feeling better. Height and decent angle looked very playable as well 95 ft and 45-46 degree decent angle.

I am having really good success with Atmos Orange 6r in my M6 driver as well. Hitting it longer and straighter than anything I’ve ever played. Anyways, go hit them and play whatever works and feels best. I know longer care what shaft says if it goes where I want and compresses the ball

Hope you get back to 100% soon. I’ll be turning 56 soon so I’ve faced the reality I’m better off with R flex shafts. I’ve been working a lot on tempo to smooth out my swing and the Elevate shafts have been perfect for me. Based on your post, I think you’re going to be very happy with yours.

Right? Jumbo shrimp! Kind of a tribute to a Gene Wilder movie and I do live in a town called Frisco...I have a 12 year old and my wife is 13 years my junior so they keep me young, or are they aging me before my time? Hmmmm....

I have the G, S and L wedges in my set and they’re all really good. They’re a touch hot so chipping has been adjustment. I use the gap from 90-110, sand wedge is great from 70-90 in and is effective in bunkers. I can open up the lob for touch shots but as I said they are a bit hot and do go further than what I’m used to. YMMV

Has anyone compared these with the g410s? I have owned a set of g410s and enjoyed them. Was about to pull the trigger on a second set, but these are such a great deal. I have played mostly forged blades for the last 15 years, and am coming out of a set of Titleist 716mbs. Want easier distance and forgiveness but don’t want to sacrifice soft feel.

Unlike most, I don’t mind a little offset. And, every time I stray from blades, it is for a set of Ping G or I series irons. If I love the Gs, will I like these?

Also, any comparison between the Elevate and Ping AWT 2.0 shafts? I’m a fan of the AWTs in the lower spinning G heads. Would the elevate tour shafts be similar?

I owned a set of G410 irons last year. I can’t compare on course because I was just fit for 0211 and so not have them yet. G410 were nice and shot some low rounds. I didn’t love the sound and never felt like I hit the sweet spot on longer irons. Ended up moving on because of feel. Probably wrong shaft, I dunno.

0211 appear smaller in 7-G than G410. 7 Iron was near identical to my i210 but slightly smaller top line and a touch more offset. At $99 a stick I didn’t even bother looking at G410. Did compare briefly to i210 with regular flex shaft. Mine were DG 120 s300. 0211 felt/sounded better. This was very important to me as I have been playing MP18 mb.

A guy in my playing group moved from Vokey's to G, S, and L wedge in 0211 and loves them. He plays around a 7hcp

Thanks for the response. Interesting about your switch to regular shaft. I played blades for years, and trended towards heavy X-stiff shafts (KBS 130x). My current set up is 716MBs with Modus 120x. I just hit them farther and straighter than what I "should" be playing, which is some manner of stiff flex shaft. Anything in stiff flex will spin way too much, and ruin my timing and transition for some reason. I tend to get fast and flippy, which causes quick hooks if I release, or high rights if I hang on.

Well, put a regular flex steel shaft in an iron for me, and I can play the most beautiful high draws. Spin actually comes down, and I gain loads of distance and accuracy in comparison to the stiff shafts.

Bottom line is flex is as much about feel as stiffness. I can play either end of the spectrum well, but the middle ground is no good for me at all.

All about feel! Good luck with your decision making process. I will miss my blades but just can't put a swing on them consistently, especially long irons. Feel like I am giving up way too much performance. Hoping 0211 irons are playable for me and have consistent distances. Really consistent distances is where most GI have failed me.

I played the older Ping G model and just received my 0211 this afternoon. Just looking at them side by side you definitely can see the Ping DNA in the PXGs. The PXGs will undergo a baptism under fire tomorrow morning when I take them to the course and put them in play right out of the gate. Smart? No, but I’ll know right away if they have potential or not.

Please tell me what is cheaper currently. There is not extra price, and in fact they are cheaper than most OEM’s currently.

Yes yes it does lol

0211 are more affordable now than any current iron offering from major 4. Of these were $195 each I probably wouldn’t have hit them. But they are nice sticks and hope they work out well for me.

Just an update.

The lofts are almost identical to my older Pings, but the ball flight is higher and total distance about 1/2 club longer. At address behind the ball, they look very similar to my Pings and I was very comfortable hitting them. I really like the longer clubs, but for some reason not so much the Gap wedge. Maybe I need some more time with it. The set looks and works well with my Ping Glide 3 wedges and I may slot in the 50* wedge for the Gap wedge if things don't work out. They "feel" softer than the Pings, but don't feel like a forged club. I still have 28 days to figure out if they will stay, but the inaugural outing with a new set of irons was good.

Are they worth the discounted price? Definitely, Yes. Would I have purchased them for the original, full price? Probably not.
