Myrtle Beach golf trip 2.021, first time on MB help !

Hello guys,

Planning a golf trip to Myrtle on Sept. 2021 for about a week, just a Foursome, i know it's early but would like some tips on golf courses, dinning, etc. Will be our first time there.

Is it better if we go by a golf trip planning website ? There are several for MB.

This is what's on my mind:

Stay on Barefoot Resort and play all 4 courses

Caledonia

True Blue

TPC of MB

Then pick one from Dunes, Tidewater, Thistle, etc.

I would forgo the Norman course. They might offer you a good deal if you play all 4 though. Any of the courses you listed above are fantastic.

I played True blue this past week and loved it. The waste bunkers were a little harder than i expected but it was a great day. I also played Prestwick down there and it seemed more challenging than True Blue.

Thistle is kind of a hike from the courses mentioned. Maybe barefoot can get you on The Dye Club course. Tidewater, Dunes, Caledonia & TrueBlue. great choices. maybe throw in Pawleys Planation as well, its another great course on the water

It's best to use a MB packager. They will know maint and it's only 1 call/email if you need to make a change. The premium courses you are considering are not discounting on sites like Golfnow. A golf packager will have a play 3 BF courses get 1 free and will be needed to play at The Dunes.

Cal, TB, TPC, The Dunes, Tidewater are all great "top 10" choices. Thistle is good, but a step down from those.

Barefoot Landing and Broadway are entertainment centers for food, drinks, etc.

Some restaurants are Greg Normans, NY Prime, Ruth Cris, Thoroughbreds, Chestnut Hill,....

We also liked Myrtle Beach national. The north course is the draw but the west and south aren't bad either. If you don't want to do a package or are trying to squeeze in a last minute tee time teeuptomorrow.com has discounted tee times for most myrtle beach courses up to 48 hours in advance. As far as nightlife steer clear of the boardwalk and strip area. It's gotten a lot less safe in the last 2-3 years. We always stay in North Myrtle Beach and go to Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing to eat and hang out.

I will echo what Art said, get a packager it makes it so much easier. Also the website he mentioned is a great source on anything MB, the owner is a top notch packager.
