I know the Byron pumbers neck takes a .355 tip size. I ordered a .355 shaft but it only goes about half way into the head. Are there taper and straight tipped putter shafts?

Naturally, I used it a few times then sold it so I can’t double check…but I think it was between 15 and 20 degrees. I also briefly owned a plumbers neck version of the Channel Island that was about the same toe hang. For some reason, Byron’s don’t set up properly for me…as much as I want to love them, I don’t.

Haha, yeah…I feel the same way about the new Mizuno putters. Thanks for the reply, that’s my favorite head shape of his so that’s good to know.

Byron no longer lives in California. He has moved to White, Georgia.

It was posted on the Byron Facebook group and a few guys mentioned he had to stop working on their putters but they obviously want him to recover as the putter can wait.

Sending good thoughts to Byron and his family.  Byron is one of the best people I've come across in golf.  Just a really good guy.

If you are looking to support a (different) local (also Huntington Beach) putter mfg you should look into Brandon Matthews.

I know you weren't.  Everyone handles things their own way and that is ok.  I am sure there are those who appreciate receiving information.  We all care for Byron and appreciate what he does.  I have become friends with Byron over the past 7 or 8 years and appreciated the times we have spent together, whether it be having a golf retreat together or having fish tacos at his favorite taquirea in Huntington Beach.

I had the chance to link up with him last month when I went down to Atlanta and wasn’t able to make it happen. Super regret that now, if I had known I would’ve

Just saw that Byron passed away, very sad news and a loss for the golf community and all that knew him personally.
