:) Thanks! I’m a WRXer so I can easily get talked into playing 8 or 9 clubs also lol I feel with this set up plus a 5 wood and gap wedge any course can be tamed (in my head).

What grind is the SM4 56-11? S grind, I would guess. I had the 56-14, which was F grind of course, going back to the 09 red saw.

I’d second the idea of adding 5w. My mini bag is set up exactly like yours, but with a 5w added to attack par 5s and long 4s, usually good for 2-3 shots per 9.

The 56-11 is an M grind, they had the s grind in the mid bounce For 58 and 60 only. I still have my 52-08 red saw that has been through it all, I loved that club. I’ll catch myself trying to put in back in my bag before I head out sometimes even though it’s pretty much grooveless.

100% agree I just haven’t found a 5w I love yet, luckily the course I frequent the most my second shots into par 5s/long par 4s are usually between 200-230 so the u510 can handle it. For other longer courses I’m laying up to a smooth full SW yardage so I can easily see myself adding one just need a covid vaccine so I can camp in a hitting bay and figure it out.

Hahaha I practice solely with the 7i in the set so maybe one day I’ll go out and play a 6 hour round lol

 

Pound for pound the Jones bag is one of the best bags I own. It weighs hardly anything and the strap is very comfortable and balanced (not top heavy like other Sunday carries). The only esthetic I don’t like is the umbrella sleeve which I’ll cut off eventually. It can fit 14 clubs but I played with 11 and I got some club tangle here and there but nothing infuriating. If mine was to ever vanish for some reason would I repurchase for $150? Probably so but Jones has 20%-40% off quite frequently that I’d be in no rush.

I like the 3 wood because of its versatility, but if carrying 8 I have a driver and one other fairway, while everything else will stay the same.

Having done some testing, the 3wood set to lower ( 12° ) is just 10-15 yards behind the driver off the tee.

I need to test the One Mini Driver, heard great things. I know there’s a thousand ways the ball can lay to rest but more often then not do you swing the OMD or lay up?

I have hit the OO of the deck and it feels good, however most of my home courses require a layup 2nd shot after my tee ball. I'm more working on course management at the moment.

The OO is a great club and I think more people should give it a chance. I support the 7 club bag fully (I rock a heft 8 club back myself), nice sticks.
