Wilson D300 SL vs Wilson D300 irons?

I ordered a set of Wilson D300 or so I thought. The name was D300 sl at the shop but google didn´t find any D300 SL irons only D300 so I figured they where the same. Got them home today and there was no powerholes on these and another graphite shaft so apparently it´s a different product though similar design on the backside. 100 % sure it´s legit just wonder if somebody know anything about them? Can´t find any even on Wilsons homepage.

Taylormade does the same thing with irons but calls them HL. They currently have new M2 irons on the market without the slots at a lower price point.

Really wonder why they are so sneaky on them. Google cant find it, youtube cant find it it´s quite impressive it´s not a new design.

Got caught by the same trick... Felt rather misguided. Have sent a message to Wilson to ask for an outline of the differences. Wonder what the response will be.

The D300 SL irons have the same design as the standard D300 irons however they do not come with power holes. The design is comparable to the D200 irons however the sweet spot on the D300 SL is bigger and these are more forgiving than the D200 irons 

The D200 irons came out in 2015 whereas the D300 SL irons came out in late 2018 however at this stage both of these are discontinued from a production standpoint. These sets were never sold in individual clubs and only the full set was available through dealers.

I did the same thing. Was recommended D300s, did a bit of research, and they seemed great for a noob like me. Clearly had no idea about SL and ordered some. Got measured up at the shop, but only realised the difference, days later, once I got the clubs home (after shafts were cut/sized). Felt a bit duped. But the power of marketing is strong and I’m hoping the power hole thingies are a gimmick and these clubs will still be good 🤞🏻
