SNELL GOLF BALLS??? anyone???

Well, I'm probably sort of preaching to the choir on this thread, but I can't help myself! On a cost to performance basis, the MTB-X is hands down the best ball on the market; I don't think anything else is close. I sort of have a hard time imagining why a serious player plays anything else, really. (The one exception to that would be at some private clubs if the pro makes his living off the pro shop sales. But that's the only exception I can think of.)

It's an incredibly good golf ball for ANY price; at $29 a dozen, there's nothing like it.

Great ball. I ordered the sample pack a while back.. First time ordering with them. I found a hand written note thanking me for trying the balls. Also called to ask a question, the service was outstanding.

When I run out of TP5x, I plan to go back to Snell. My dad is loyal to the brand (which I gave him his first sleeve back when it was just "My Tour Ball" / MTB a few years back. He loves to support the New England companies.

TP5X is what I've been using so i'm anxious to try the MTB-X and Black in comparison. My neighbor is a big-time Snell "homer" too :)

Just got two dozen more today along with the half price waffle weave towel. Still a personally signed thank you note too. Must be hard to do with all the orders that go out!

So, I called Snell Golf to find out about when the high number Blacks would be back in stock, I left message...well couple days later , I get a phone call from a Snell rep. Well, that stuck with me....and the fact the Dean himself is packing the balls for customers because of the covid thing....wow! what a company.... Anyway, I want to purchase the high number blacks, just love high numbers...the rep said they would be out around Fathers Day...great timing....

Finally ordered black/X test pack. Gotta say the x is very similar to V1x, maybe a smig softer/less clicky, which I liked, wedge spin was equal or better, driver carry was impressive. I will give the black more holes next time before I decide, but for now its a easy decision, I'm a snell player.

I just ordered my MTB-X value pack, AND took advantage of the introductory bundle to get a couple of gloves for $12 each. I've been a Snell player for 4 years now, don't see a reason to change.

I use snell MXBs. I'm not positive but I think they play within 5-10% of a ProV1. I think a slight distance drop on the driver possibly. But I think worth the price.

Just received 5 dozen of the yellow MTB Black. I played the MTB-X before, looking forward to see the difference.

I’m spinning the ball a lot, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Black brings my spin down a little.

I just went the other way, from the Black to the X. Our greens this year have been really firm, and I wanted more spin with my shorter irons. After 36 holes, I'm happy with my choice.

I too have enjoyed Snells over the years. I like the Blacks over the X but could play either. This year, since they have not really updated their balls recently, I have tried some others. Overall when you factor in quality and price they are tough to beat. When they come out with a new or updated product I will give them a try.

I've been playing MTB-X and really like them so far. I'm just getting back into golf after only playing a few times every year (have played probably 10 times in the last few months, and have been at the range consistently, love working on my swing). Recently I've been combating a lottle bit of a slice, and since it's a little bit unclear, wanted to see if the black would work better for me than the X? I don't know if the lower spinning part is just on the Irons or if it carries over to the driver too?

And before anyone asks, I'm working on the slice, not just hoping the ball will fix it, but I'm trying to minimize damage when it does happen.

It'll carry to the driver as well but not as much as you're thinking.

Gotcha. I know they aren't going to fix anything, but just hoping to be a little straighter off the tee if possible. I'm getting there in terms of figuring out the swing after making some changes, but I'll take all the help I can get haha, I got the USA imprint balls when they had them last week and decided to try the blacks out after I liked the X's.

I’ve tried them and they played similar to pro vs but I rather buy refurbed pro vs for less money.

give it Black a try. Straighter ball flight is the reason why I prefer Black over other balls.

I love Snell. I always stock up on Black Friday with their specials. Switched to the MTBX this year and really enjoy the added spin vs the black. They feel great too. Highly recommend.
