Scotty Cameron Putter Help

I was going to go check out a used Scotty Cameron Select Golo today as my potential first Scotty, and was looking to get some insight on the pictures the seller has posted to help determine if its a fake or not. I've tried to do my homework and research, but my untrained eye still has a hard time picking up the differences. There's only really the head to go off as the seller had it regripped (professionally with the location given, so it makes me think he at least cared), but prior to the regrip he said the sticker was on the underside of the shaft which i read to be correct. I've attached the images, and to me I can't really tell, so hopefully everyone here can help me out. Thank you everyone in advance!

Oh and he said it was a 35" prior which Ive read to be correct when having the 10 gram weights in the head

While not the exact model I tried to give you some photos for reference to compare to an authentic Scotty Select. I’d say yours looks real IMO. If he has the original headcover take a look at it. It’s a dead give away when the head covers are faked.

Those pictures really help, thank you! And he said he also got it used without a head cover, but got a head cover from a different Scotty putter after purchasing, which again makes me think he cared enough about it to at least try and protect it.

At the end of the day if you don’t feel confident with the purchase don’t go for it. You can find Scottys all over, especially on the classified forum here. If you start to sense that there’s an “answer” for every stipulation you throw his way he’s either being upfront or is a total con artist lol. FWIW a real Scotty will feel heavier and have a truer sound than a fake. I think you’ll be alright with this one but if too many red flags are up just back out. Not sure your price point but there are others I’ve seen in better shape than the one in your pics. Good luck!

Thank you again! The pictures were so helpful. I went ahead and pulled the trigger, I actually got it for less than $100 and when I did the magnet it was exactly as everywhere said a real one should be and also got a couple balls against it and it was awesome! It’s real weighty too like the ones I briefly saw at the local golf shop. All in all I think I got a real steal!

I re-grip my own Scotty's....I don't think that's an accurate level of "caring"; probably just skill. Looks like a legit Scotty to me.
