Most underrated well priced modern putter?

Yes! putters are underrated and affordable, though not easy to find clean anymore. The C-groove tech really works, and has a nice feel, soft without being bouncy. I have a $30 Pippi-12 Black that frequently outperforms my $300+ putters.

I think the PING Karsten TR series were really good for their price point of $150 when they came out around 8 years ago or so. Great feel and offered meaningful tech in a putter with the True Roll grooves that Evnroll does.

 

I didn’t care for the bronze finish so I sent it to PINGwrx dept and had them strip the paint fill and give it the Starshot finish

The new Ping Heppler putter are great if you like instant feel and audible recognition of putts. Again, everyone has a different ideal of what a putter should be - I’m an Strong Arc style and I like audible feel from my putter. Sigma 2 are nice if your more of a muted sound with tactile feel.

Cleveland Huntington Beach are outstanding. Started with the #1 but moved to the #8, nearly face balanced, got on ebay for $50.

Found a Taylormade Del Monte Patina barely used for $100 - only reason I'm not playing the #8.

I see good deals on used Spiders, in all the configurations, in my local store, but they all look bad, with missing paint and chips. And if they are so great why so many used ones?

Would like to check out the Wilson putters.

I just picked up the "L" putter because of another sites test, and I am very impressed with the quality and feel of it. Definitely worth the $99 shipped price!

The new Cleveland frontline putters are a good choice as well. They feel quite smooth

center putts.

My club has a spare bag in the locker room with clubs from the golf shop for members to take out on the course to try out. Usually demos from last season, some new stuff. All honor system and kind of nice. Anyway I got to test a Windy City in that fashion on the course and the feel is spot on. I didn't buy one only because my current putter is too good and in no need of replacement. I would also need to change the stock grip as I prefer something slimmer, but I have said and will continue to say, if my gamer were to break tomorrow, I'd be finding an infinite pretty quickly.

Currently gaming the Cleveland classic collection #6. It has the slightest toe hang and a shallow face compared to other putters. For whatever reason the roll out distance seems the most predictable and precise on mis hits compared to the other putters I have bagged which aren't many (ping anser 2f, orlimar TM-01).

Quoting myself to mention, I replaced the stock grip with a Ping blackout. After trying them for a while, not a fan of the oversized putter grips.

Can get used Toulons for great prices. Cleveland putters are great, but like Ping they just aren't as refined as higher end milled putters.

It's just aesthetics, but that alone can inspire confidence

I picked up a copper Spider X a while back when RockBottom was selling Like New ones for $160 or something like that. It's been worth every penny so far.

I am a convert to the tommy armour impact #3, a month in so far. The fabled 2 year winner on the site that shall not be named. Immediately improved my performance inside 10 feet where I was struggling the most. Took me a bit to get used to the softer insert for longer putts, but ironically my 3 putts didn't increase despite some longer 2nd looks then normal in the first few weeks because I was making more of those 3-6 footers. I was coming from a seemore center shafted so I already play with a "straight back straight through" style stroke. Just find this TA #3 far more forgiving, especially on toe sided hits when used to come off a bit weak and slide off to the right for me. Those putts, in particular seem to hold their line much better. I'd recommend anyone who plays with a SBST stroke that isn't happy with their short putting to give it a try. At $100, it is a great putter that certainly fits the bill. I play off a 6-7 normally if that means anything at all. If this is just an extended honeymoon phase, I will be sad when it ends but more then anything I am gaining confidence round by round. My mind frame is gradually shifting from years of "man, I hope this goes in" to "dang! I can't believe I didn't fully commit to that and left it 1 inch short" when I miss a putt that I am now expecting to make.

I just got a Mizuno MCraft II and absolutely love it. It’s definitely not the cheapest putter but for the quality it is priced very fairly when put against other premium putters (scotty, betti, etc).

It is unbelievably soft and I had an awesome first round with it last week.

Also, it comes with the weight kit which was super important for me because I play a longer putter and want to keep the swing weight down.

I have gone through many flat sticks cheap and expensive. The three that stayed have the best feel and are among the cheapest. In no particular order, Wilson 8802 newest release, Cleveland Classic #3 before they went to the cheese grater face, and a TP Mills TPM Gold.

Despite having a Bettinardi, 2 Scotty Camerons, TM Spider and an old Odyssey White Hot in my possession I find myself more often than not putting a Rife Raider X in the bag. It's cheap and post Guerin Rife's time at the company and made once he left to start Evenroll but for some reason it just works for me.

Ping Ansers, early 1970's. Can pick them up for $20 or so.

The metal SEEMS softer.The original shafts (IMHO) have a little more feel.Old patina, a great look (IMHO).Zip code shown in the address (in the cavity) indicates age.Great putters, and easy to find one with the site line (or no site line), whatever your preference.

Bought the same in May this year and has been in the bag since! I've been the type to rotate between 3 sometimes 4 putters depending on how 'they' performed lol

I'm looking at the Cleveland HB 11 CS, unfortunately it doens't seem to be stocked in Europe, only available has a heel slant. Amazon US will send me one in 2 months though so could pull the trigger. Looks to be a very balanced putter.
