Favorite fairway shafts on a budget

Rotating between two 3 woods. R7 TP with the stock Vista pro 80 stiff shaft, has a wonderful high ball flight, easy to get up off the turf. And a Sldr TS TP with the tp 8.3 motore speeder shaft in X Flex, The shaft in the sldr is a beast. Heavy, stout, and exclusively produces low launch low spin bullets off the tee while being near impossible to get off the ground (which is odd to me because wasn't the point of the sldr line to get the ball up into the air easier with a lower CG?) Appears that I bit off more than I could chew with that shaft, right now it's acting as a one trick Pony driver replacement. Looking to try and improve the sldr with a shaft swap, something that will help me get it up in the air. What are your go to fairway shafts? The proforce V2 is peaking my interest as a low cost experiment if anyone has experience with it

Have seen lots of Kai’li ‘s on eBay for cheap over the years. Bought a new uncut 80x for my 5 wood a year ago for $60 shipped. Hard to beat that.

Any of the diamana blues or tensei blues can be had for under $50. Also the ATMOS Blue from fuji.

I like the Tensei blue as well. I also have an atmos tour spec in my 5 wood. Both good choices.

Budget FW shaft, look no further than the Aldila tour blue ATX.

I’m in this camp. Strong contender at the $50-$75 price point for a quality, smooth but stable mid-launch shaft. I’ve put it in several heads and it always delivers. It will definitely help launch a SLDR. Still have it in a Callaway XHot2 Pro 5 wood that remains my most reliable 5 wood.

Another vote for the Tour Blue. I play primarily Diamana/Tensei White profiles, but I have a Tour Blue 75S that I picked up for a song. It performs better than the B-Series 80S I have sitting in my garage....

Aldila RIP beta 80 and Atx tour blue 85 are very solid choices, the Rogue black 80 95msi is able to be found for great prices as well and doesn’t have the counterbalance of the later, higher msi models of same profile.

Lots to choose from.

There are always exceptions but both UST and Aldila have some good low cost options.

Aldila: original vs-proto, Tour Blue, Rogue Black 95, and my new favorite is the newer NV 2kxv blue - which is now < $80 at golfworks.com

The Diamana Blueboard's are always good and can be found cheap, as are the Speeder range, especially the 765.

Anybody weigh in On the 'Ahina 70X? I was looking at one the other day... Market in Japan is a little different. There are no cheap shafts over here. The second hand market is not to bad though.

Aldila Rogue Black 95 MSI.

This was part of the first batch of Rogue shafts that OEM's like Titleist brought to stock offering in 915.

Can be had really cheap now.

Basically a very, very similar profile to a DI.

My vote is for an Aldila VS Proto 80 if you can find one. Tour blue should play similar though.

Diamana or tensei blues in 80-90x are my favorites. I've tried stiffer options - but for some reason I always come back to this profile - it just feels consistent and predictable

I am partial to the Diamana D+ series in my fairways. I have a 70 in the 3 wood and an 80 in the 5 wood and they are both SOOOOO good.

Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue and Platinum are excellent shafts and just $50. I started with Blue and both flight and spin were too high. I switched the Platinum and my 3W has never flown better.

I just picked one of these up for my SIM rocket 3, get it tomorrow then course on Friday. Excited to see how it works out for a <100$ shaft
