Won this on the bay... then discovered fakes are everywhere. Any ideas if this is legit? Will be ripping grip off when I get it.

Nope, tip is not prepped on a new shaft

Real or fake? Real in Proto from PXG but clubs are at the course. Snagged this to try in my 3 wood from a Callaway, doing a tip swap. Will send back and order from my course if this is fake. Has heat seal line and ribbed on lines, not smooth.

I think you’re good...the overlap is there and that is one of the indicators of a legit shaft

...the rings won’t perfectly align as a result

So you’ve seen them with rings that don’t align? It is kind of hard to tell from the pictures, but it’s not just the rings not aligning it’s the entire label being applied at an angle that’s not straight down the shaft. Makes the words graphite and design not align with each other. Looks really cheap as a result.

I don’t have any more IZ’s, but here is a TP I have that can be compared:

In the first pic you can see the rings misaligned. This is because of the label overlap that makes up the graphics in the upper ring and white area. Additionally, in the second pic, you can see the label over lap through the middle of the white area and borders the Tour AD graphic. You should also see ghosted font in the white label area such as, “AD”, “Accuracy”, “Distance”.

Ok thanks Brick. Starting to feel like it might be legit, plus it’s got the hologram and the etched serial number. I floated an email to Bill at Pros choice to get his take on it too. I’ve just never seen one so misaligned as this one. I mean it’s probably 5 to 10 degrees difference in where the word graphite is aligned versus the word design.

I think it's real - it looks exactly like my BB 6S that came from an authorized dealer.
