Growing the game he is bringing people in that would have no interest in golf into the game. (NFT people and trading card people)

also there will be an arms race between players to see who could make the most valuable cards. This is great because there is no players union so each player is responsible for their own cards, truly revolutionary.

I disagree with this having any merit as a HoF attribute at all. Tiger Woods had Upper Deck trading cards already, NFT is just a modern version. It’s not revolutionary and the scope at which something like NFT would grow the game is minimal.

Upper deck hasn’t released for years, what hurt them was they had to get contracts with each player they wanted which was costly. This new way will open up the market.

Monetizing the game, especially for personal gain, is not a box on the HoF checklist. Now, if he were to open up a children's hospital with the money or donate it to the First Tee or any worthwhile cause that could have some positive effect on society it may be good for a push in the right direction. This NFT cash grab by Bryson is solely for himself, trying to capitalize on his social media presence with the younger generations.

Are you saying that the amount of $ the Saudis offer a player is part of the criteria to get into the golf HOF??? Wow, I must not have any clue what gets one in the HOF! 🤪

He would need 10 m0re years performing like the last 5.   Hard to do, but not impossible.  Injuries are always a wildcard, no matter the skill.

Monetizing the game is actually very high on the list of WGHoF criteria, there are very few amateurs in now and extremely doubtful that any more will be inducted outside of the media or another non-player category. These guys aren’t racking up wins for funsies.
