After testing a wide variety of excellent putters, I bought a Ping Heppler - Ketsch. Rolls the ball with dependable distance, very forgiving and easy to line up. Love the looks, feel and sound. Reasonable cost compared to other options . (Had been using a Ping B60 for 20+ years.)

I bought a Toulon Memphis last weekend. Tried a bunch and settled on the Memphis. It fit my stroke and I felt comfortable putting with it. Now I need to get it out on the course this weekend.

I bought the older version Toulon Portland over winter from CPO Black Friday, but also a new SL Rossie , which I put right in the bag. I sent the Toulon off for a black shaft and new grip, then put it away.

i started having trouble with longer putts, decided to give it a go about a month ago, may never leave my bag....

I'm sure there are some guys on here like me that just buy used putters off the used racks vs a 400 dollar one. It is insane to me that people pay that much for a putter and it really doesnt help them that much. The last putter I bought was a center shafted Odessey 2 ball for 25 bucks. Haven't gamed it yet but it was in great shape and at that price I just bought it.

You and the others obviously have no understanding of luxury goods or veblen goods and/or how people with money choose to spend it. Aside from the fact it's no ones business how someone spends their money.

Why buy a Rolex when a Casio does the same thing? Why buy a Mercedes when a Toyota is fine? Why go on vacation when you can stay home? Well...

That's kind of it. How else would a person be able to get a nice clean 2005 Continental GT for $40k...because some stupid NFL player dropped stacks of cash on them. Same thing applies to golf clubs.

 

I used to sound like that poster too...until I realized how cheap all the great clubs I was getting from the clearance bin.
