It was Ted. Love love the U85 (have though about swapping the GOST into a U85). Definitely launches higher than the UDI. I have the $-Taper in my U85 4 iron and its my favorite club in the bag. Perfect club to hit into par 5's and long par 3's.

But ya I have a hard time timing sub 100 gram graphite shafts. All positives so far with the GOST in my 2 iron.

Anyone know if OEM's will be offering this shaft for their hybrids/ driving irons .

Seems as though they’d need to bring the price down big time to become an OEM offering but then again it seems like all the new hot driver shaft releases come out at absurd pricing then somehow end up in OEM lineups. Street price for these shafts seems to be running close to $200 which isn’t that far off from buying a nice brand new hybrid with a quality shaft with the plastic still on it

@Treyball344 what did the final playing length of your 2i with the GOST shaft turn out to be? I am thinking of swapping out the PX Smoke H shaft thats in my U510 2i for a GOST shaft.

How do you like the MMT in your hybo? I'm thinking of trying one in my Ping G410 hybrid.

I LOVE the MMT in my hybrid! It is the perfect shaft in my eyes. It goes high up, knocks it down, is very straight and consistent in the distance it flies.

hello all, I ordered a TX .355 for my 2 iron.

 

I was told that Nippon does not recommend any tipping on these shafts?

 

I can’t find any tipping instructions

According to the Nippon dealer , flex will be true and not need tipping in any 2i or 3i. Ive payed the TX in a PXG 2i and and ping g410 19* 3 hybrid. Both are great and even the extra headweight in the hybrid head did nothing to alter the flex at the playing length.

Liked the shaft but a bit too low in the 2 iron...hybrid about same height as my Mavrik SZ 5 wood but shorter.

Sold them both and am going with the easier to hit consistently Cally Super Hybrid and with the GOST Xstiff shaft.

It will alternate with the 5 wood.

Got a question about the TX version, is it crazy stiff? I can't get this shaft out of my head and I found a G410 3 hybrid with the TX version for a decent price and the only thing stopping me is that it's the TX flex and I've really thought that I'd probably be a better fit in the X flex given that it's a 10 gram difference. For reference I play a Modus 120X in my irons and love them. 7i SS 93-95 and Driver SS 113-115. Could I get away with the TX, or should I hold out and try to find the X flex version? FWIW, I've not gamed a hybrid in a while because I tend to spin them (and I don't love the draw bias in most of them) but this shaft is making me reconsider and I feel like it'd be a great replacement for my 3i around the 230-235 range. @golffeen007 any thoughts since you played the G410 3H in the TX version?
