Ping I210 Replacements

I ordered my i210a the first week of May and received them last week. Played my first round with them and tied my best on our course. Put them through their paces on the flightscope yesterday and was surprised at how low I was spinning them. Playing a cut with the long irons helped them stay in the air longer. I am considering a higher spinning ball now, was using a Prov1. The long irons are much easier to hit for me than my old Mizunos. The X100 is easier for me to launch too than my old KBS Tours. I am a big Ping fan, should have never switched brands. I am now waiting on two Glide 3.0 wedges.

So with the I59 release, do we actual know if there will be a 210 replacement next year.?

If so it won't be an early release, more likely summer or fall if at all.

If they're the same as the MMC it'd be 32 degrees.

It'll be interesting to see if they just give it a small refresh or if they make something similar to the i59 just slightly larger/more forgiving (and hopefully cheaper).

Well I had the urge for new irons and  couldn’t wait for next summer. Ordered a set of i210’s before the price hike. Coming from i200’s probably not much different but they will hold me over till the 220’s. 3 month wait though 🤦🏻

Just FYI i210 replacement is gonna have a big price increase. So if you like i210s get them now. PING going up across the board. We just raised prices on g425 and g410 in our store.

I spoke to a rep that manufacturers dumbbells and olympic plates and he told us their shipping containers have gone up from $3500 to $19,000.   Those increases obviously impact prices.

It's challenging times. I love Ping but I just bought a PXG Gen 4 driver for $299 after a fitting. Not only that, I ordered it on Wednesday night and they built it and shipped it on Saturday.

yea, I’ve heard some companies bidding up to $30k for a container just to have it. And there were 44 shipping vessels outside California last week. With labor issues at port, it taking 6 days to unload a single container ship. Cali I think has 3 main ports but still… not fun when you work in supply chain this year. 
 

realistically, I think Ping is just a bit ahead of passing costs down this early. Inflation is only good for so long but this is long term. I don’t think we will normalize till spring 2023. Will be interesting next year.

I think you'll be happy with the subtle upgrades from the i200's

I'm interested to see where they go with with the i210 replacement. If they can add the heel and toe tungsten weighting to increase MOI, and keep the same feel they would have a big time winner.
