Help Playing Oakmont

Hello,

I am a very avid golfer, 8 handicapper currently, and am trying to cross off as many bucket list courses as possible.. I have played approximately 10 or so thus far and am wondering/looking for help getting onto Oakmont. Living in the Pittsburgh area it is killing me not to get on a course so revered thats right in my backyard. There is no price I wouldn't pay to be able to play here, any help/tips/suggestions would be appreciated!

Not to rain on your parade, but since you live there, why not network and make some contacts? Develop a relationship with your pro even.

Giving you the benefit of the doubt with your sincerity but look at it objectively - you’re a stranger here. 2 posts in and asking for help with Oakmont. Surely if you’re an 8, you should have some network in the Pittsburgh golf scene that will help you out much more than here.

Plenty of auctions out there with a spot at Oakmont a 3 some will cost you about 3 to 6k, shouldn't be an issue if price isn't a factor.

Another one of these "can't hurt to ask" threads regarding a bucket-list hook-up...do they ever pan out? Fairly ballsy IMHO to join the site just to try to get on a top course.

I'm looking for a guy for a long weekend. I figure on Friday we do National Golf Links and Shinnecock. Jet over to Pitt for Oakmont Saturday, then red eye to the West coast for Cypress Point Sunday on my private jet

I am Dr. Bakare Tunde, the cousin of Nigerian Astronaut, Air Force Major Abacha Tunde. He was the first African in space when he made a secret flight to the Salyut 6 space station in 1979. If we can obtain access to this money, we can place a down payment with the Russian Space Authorities for a Soyuz return flight to bring him back to Earth. I am told this will cost $ 3,000,000 American Dollars. In order to access the his trust fund we need your assistance.

Consequently, my colleagues and I are willing to transfer the total amount to your account or subsequent disbursement, since we as civil servants are prohibited by the Code of Conduct Bureau (Civil Service Laws) from opening and/ or operating foreign accounts in our names. You will need to post the initial money into the account, a sum of $15,000,000.

Needless to say, the trust reposed on you at this juncture is enormous. In return, we have agreed to offer you 20 percent of the transferred sum, while 10 percent shall be set aside for incidental expenses (internal and external) between the parties in the course of the transaction. You have a couple things to try.

I have playing it 2 to 3 dozen times. It is a great place to play, throw out the handicap it is a darn hard course.

sometimes CharityBuzz sells off Oakmont groups. Usually about 1K$ a guy but deductible.
