In a perfect world, how many days a week would you play golf?

I think the magic number for me would be three. My dad is retired and he plays about 2-3 times a week when it's nice out.

If we're really talking ideal scenario I might cut that down to two full rounds. If I lived on a golf course with nice practice facilities, I could see enjoying hitting the range/chipping/rolling putts twice a week, and playing twice a week being just right. But I don't know, maybe I'd still try to get in three rounds.

I’m down to 2-3 days a week with one day at the range. I sometimes hit the range twice when I need to fix something but 3 days at the course is enough for me.

When I first retired I played more but ended up enjoying it less.

3 days per week, with a 7:45 AM tee time. That means I'm home by lunch and don't feel like I spent my entire day at the course. Also, the tee time should be earlier enough to get home at a decent time but late enough that I can get enough sleep the night before.

The worst days are when I feel like I spent my entire day at the course, and then I'm so tired that I take a nap in the afternoon. Those days feel super unproductive.

Probably 4 morning tee times a week. Maybe head back out an evening or 2 to go practice on the course a little bit or hit up the range/putting green.

Two or three rounds a week with an early tee time and good pace, and a decently long range sessions would be lovely. With a tough job and a toddler, no way this happens anytime soon.

Seven: One round per day. My club has three courses and I’ve never had a problem going out for a round by myself, and when playing alone, I usually finish in no more than 2 hours and 15 minutes. That leaves plenty of time to do other stuff. Heck, last Saturday, I played 18, recaulked my master bath shower and tub, installed new shower heads in all four bathrooms, weeded my vegetable and fruit gardens, did some club work for a friend, and still had time to watch a movie with my kids and go grocery shopping with my wife.

When I take time off work I play every day. Did eight days just over a month ago.

I'm hoping to retire some time in the next seven years and I've been thinking I'll play twice a week during the winter and maybe twice that in summer. Sunday with my mate as usual, Wednesday senior's 9 hole comp and Tuesday/Thursday evenings in the summer as I do currently.

Two if I am still working. I played in a nine hole league on Tuesday afternoons and then I usually played 18 on Saturday. That was a nice balance and spread apart enough where if you had a terrible round on one day by the time the next round rolled around it was forgotten. I'd putt and chip or hit a bucket or two on another day if I had the time/desire.

If I am retired I'd like to play three 18 hole rounds if possible per week. Maybe two during the week and some kind of small money game on the weekend. I got hobbies other than golf, fishing, hunting, hiking and camping, hobby farming a bit.

I'm currently playing four weekday rounds a week, and it's a good balance. During the winter I played five days a week and it takes its toll on the body. Skipping Wednesdays allows for a recharge.

I've done trips with 10 rounds in 5 days, and 9 rounds in 6 days, but those trips are spread out.

I currently live in the city, so playing a round typically involves at least a 30 to 40 minute drive to get to and from a decent course. If I lived in the burbs near a course I could possibly see me getting out for an additional 9 holes once or twice a week.

Lucky enough to be in that perfect scenario right now. Get out and play 4-5 rounds a week right now with a couple days off which usually leads me back to the club with my daughter to play a few holes with her in the evenings. It is more than golf though. Keeps me in shape, plus the social aspect at my club is great. Just a great place to be.

Twice a week would be perfect for me. Monday round and either thursday or friday round. Gives the body time to recoup especially since I like to walk

I often have that conversation with myself, even though I’m 12 years away from retirement. I play 3 times a week for sure, most weeks 4 times during daylight savings. Once I hit retirement I’m thinking 5 should be good. The question, “How much is enough?” may ever have an answer though. Like mentioned before speed is the key, it’s takes me 2:45 when I’m alone and 3:30 in my normal group. I would play less if my rounds were 4+ hours.
