I think it's a good shaft. I liked the flight and flex of the 6.5. It felt a lot like c taper to me. But I should play it against c taper to confirm. It's been a while but I have a 6 iron 125 c taper I can compare it to. I was hitting the 6.5 mainly just against my x7 in 8 and 6 and the 6.5 in my 7. It was right in the middle so distance was spot on. I'm not sure if it was going from a 134g shaft to a 125g shaft but the LS felt light in the handle to me (same swing weight at d4). Build wise the 6.5 allowed me to go a 3/8 inch longer than x7. I would like to try 7.0 softstepped to keep the weight up and similar flex to 6.5. I like the weight of the X7. Butt section was very parallel, the grip tap gap was the same all the way down the grip... solid performance. It's been a long while since hitting normal PX but when I did, I did not like it l recall it felt way too boardy and I was playing ctaper 125 and 130 back then and liked the feel of c taper. These LS are very stiff but still had a little flex to them. Perfect flex for what I like, so I will go ahead and try 7.0 SS next....

I just bought a set of T100S with PX 7.0 and chose them over C-Tapers hs bc I bent the tip in one when testing it. Got the set maybe two months ago then these have to come out, love the 7.0’s but I do have some issues with the wind and I’m a very high spin player so these sound perfect... super pissed these couldn’t of dropped earlier, now I have to determine how much it’s going to be to buy a set of shafts or if I should just buy a new set with Titleist of some CB’s and swap them out with my current set and sell them because I don’t think Titleist upcharges for shafts but I could be wrong.

It would be awesome if Mizuno added these to its list of shafts this fall with the JPX 921 release. Probably not but I can dream!

Knew I should stay off this site once my bag was set earlier this year. First year in PX 6.5s coming from X7s and C-taper 130x before. Never really liked either of those. PX 6.5s have done me well so far without any ballooning issues but I'm still hitting it really high with a lot of spin. Playing on softer greens I'm able to spin 8-9 irons back a bit which isn't ideal but distance is still good. Going to put in an order for the LS 6.5 to put in my spare 7 iron and give it a go. Happy with my 6.5s so if it's not a noticeable difference in launch and spin for me I can deal with the high flight/spin I have now since it's not ballooning like some of the other shafts I've had in the past. I have zero issues with "boardy" feel with my current 6.5s which was the main reason I never tested them in the past after hearing that from everyone. I think they feel great actually.

Interested to hear the reviews on these if they exacerbate the constant complaints I hear from PX users of elbow pain. How can a lower spin shaft not be stiffer and not make that even more of a problem? Unless its ala the Nippon 120 which is very stiff mid/tip and super soft in the handle to filter out vibration?

I haven't been suffering from elbow pain so I cant comment on if it helps, but it is a better feeling, (less harsh) feeling shaft than I remember standard Px being. I have not hit them side by side but when I did hit px a few years ago in fittings etc I put it straight away, felt like a board. The LS in 6.5 gave me a little more flex and height than my X7s. A little more workability and spin. It really reminded me of the c taper 125, which was a shaft I liked years ago. I believe they have built some soft spots into the LS to take away harshness. It does not feel like the modus 120 or 125 which both of those feel very soft to me. Dont get me wrong it's still very stiff. I think to me it is essentially a better feeling c taper. I have been on the hunt for my iron shaft of choice and these are a contender. I think it's down to one of these for me... X7, LS 7.0, or modus 120tx hard stepped...

@therealjonzone - T100 with the proper shaft don't spin too much, least not from my experience. Some say my 620 MB's spin way more than other irons, yet, even with Steelfiber 110 stiff shafts spin is acceptable. Heck, I even get balls to stick, spin backwards even sideways.
IMO - lots of people get too much spin because they are not hitting the ball square with the sweet-spot. Have a good day.

These shafts are telephone pole stiff. I have a set in 6.0 flex. Definitely not worth a small decrease in spin for a major decrease in feel, in my opinion

I have played regular 6.0s before, was playing the 6.5 LZs in a set of Srixon Z785s

Interesting. I played 6.5 lz in 785s and loved the shaft but only played a flex up cause those are soft. I’m used to s300s so we’ll see if the LS compares

Welp the 7.0 is backordered too. As far as the comments about being stiff I think a drastic change in stiffness or profile you would pick up on that real quick. The LZ is a softer feeling shaft, higher launch higher spin than px. It's like an evenflow compared to hzrdus black or T1100. It's going to feel stiff comparatively. In my opinion LS feels softer than px....

Anyone else have any reviews? I loved the c-tapers 130s but the tips bent and ever since I have been playing around with different shafts. If these are like c-tapers without the tip bending issue then I'm in.
